Hi guys, I'm hunting for ergonomic chairs as well and tried Steelcase chairs last week. Here's my two cents on it.

I tried all the steelcase chairs (other than Amia, local showroom don't have them). My height is 165cm and I really loving the Think v2. The Leap and Gesture are just too tall and isn't comfortable for with my height. The head rest of those 2 felt so hard and uncomfortable too compared to the Think neck rest. The back mesh of the Think feels great and airy too! and personally it feels "wider" to move my body around compared to the Leap and Gesture. Compared to the Series, the Think is way better in every aspect. Can watch Victor's Video about the comparison as I really agree with his opinion on that. The showroom chairs are all 5-8 years already and I legit thought they were brand new because fuhhh, the quality and the seats macam new and still so good condition. Salespersons there very very helpful and friendly too, one of them recommend me just sit for 30 mins like how I work daily to really get a feel of it, which I did. Sit for 5 mins cannot really grasp that long term feel one.

This are just my experience and hope it helps anyone. Its pricy though, and if you want to customize your chairs like the materials and colours you can too, and its gonna be more expensive. The ones on shopee or webstore is the cheapest already.

Anyone that using Secretlab can vouch that its better than high end ergonomic chairs? I'm having upper back pain daily from ~10hours computer work, and 3 loyal secretlab fans of mine die die defending its the best chair ever lol.

Wanna try Alterseat CG Prime Gold this week and see how it compares to Steelcase.

Wah really? hmm maybe its as you said still hard. you get the shopee one? I ask them to customize the chair seat colour and material to fit the headrest, as well as change the back mesh colour.... quotation rm3200 fuhhh mahal.

Tried Alterseat CG Prime Gold today. It's the best alterseat chair, a lot better than CG07 plus. Wew it's way better than I expected. The lumbar support is amazing, better than Steelcase one imo. Recline is good and lockable, headrest is easy to adjust, arm rest also nice, 4D like steelcase chairs. The seat is mesh, and I'm afraid in the long run it will koyak easily or it will feel uncomfortable when sit for too long (compared to cushion type). I sat for 20 mins and it feels ok lah. Don't know if sit whole day how.

Oh and while their webstore and shopee only has white and black, they actually have red colour as well. Very nice. But they say red colour only available via walk in or tell them in whatsapp first.

3 years only, Steelcase got 12 years. Thats why its so expensive I guess, we pay for that 12 years warranty. I ask steelcase person if the seat koyak or flat can warranty or not, he so confidently say it wont happen haha.

yes need press button one. Steelcase don't need press button, but cg prime gold for alterseat got button for left and right. Up and down also got button.

Yah i like button also, feels more "secured" But alterseat warranty dont cover the seat if koyak or got holes Only cover if seat mesh is loose, they will make it tighter.

I tried the iskur before, really don't like it. Too tall/big (I'm 165cm)

So erm do anyone know how do I dispose of old gaming chair?

Chair already half spoil, feel bad if let people reuse and break their back Guess I'll just call majlis and throw it away. I live in subang. Thanks!!

My alterseat CG Prime gold standard came!! Red colour is the newest, only available via walk-in or whatsapp order. Not in webstores yet

Sure! its at Shopee but have to ship from china. wait around 1 week. but really good eh, feels like office carpet texture and sticks well to the floor. when u get it remember tear the plastic so the mat can stick properly to the ground, your floor wont sticky dont worry

1 week of using Alterseat CG Prime Gold standard and so far so good. The weight recline feature felt weird and uncomfortable on day 1 and 2, very not used to it, but it got really natural eventually.

Mesh seats comfortable, i thought it will be uncomfortable if sit long but i sat like 10 hours a day still feels good. The wheels are good and smooth. The headrest i also feel quite uncomfortable on first couple of days but i eventually got used to it and feels really comfortable now. Good adjustability, can move up and down quite alot. Lumbar is probably the best thing here, I can really feel the lumbar support.

I have upper back pain for years, very painful and alot of tension from bad posture and shitty chairs over the years. And just 1 week of sitting this its basically gone! But of course a chair is not all you need to fix that, I do alot of upper back maintenance everyday like stretching, massage, be conscious of posture when sitting... but I also did these with my previous shitty gaming chair and still back pain daily.

A good chair helps! And for this price I really think its super worth it. IMO its the only good chair among Alterseat models, tried CG07 plus and its really day and night difference. Just get the CG Prime gold standard. For those never sit full mesh seat before, just a heads up it will be uncomfortable for first few days, especially converting from gaming chairs. But its way more comfortable and natural after few days.

The only good alterseat chair in my opinion is the cg prime gold standard. every other chair is just meh. The build and quality of the cg prime feels A LOT better than the 2nd best chair cg 07 plus. been using on it for couple weeks and still good. the cg 07 i went and try, sit for 5 mins and I already don't like, sat the cg prime and feels so good and spacious. can check my reviews in 1 or 2 pages before this post
