Just want to ask if anyone here got chronic back pain condition, does your back feels better after buying these expensive chairs?
Bought SpaceMY chair yesterday, I'm just wondering if it was worth it or not because I cannot say 100%. It seems like there are a few other models from other sellers that costs a bit less money.

QUOTE(zeronova @ Mar 3 2021, 08:34 PM) Just talked to a Steelcase salesperson today. They are having buy 2 Leap V2 with headrest for RM 5.2k promo So it's only RM 2.6k each. I believe original price is starting from RM 3.7k without headrest. Anyone wanna share 1 with me? did you actually get the leap? asking because i just bought 1 brand new for 2.3k but have to wait 3-4 weeks for production. the price does sound a bit too good to be true given the retail price.

QUOTE(un.deux.trois @ Jan 31 2025, 11:49 AM) RM2.3k for a Leap is a steal. Which shop you bought it from? Ebibca. Office chair store in penang, somehow stumbled upon their website. Looks like they have been in the business for many years now. The website says its in stock, but they email me after payment saying have to wait production up to 4 weeks.

QUOTE(NinG @ Jan 31 2025, 11:36 PM) Anyone here bought TT Racing Mesh chair? which one? from the website i'm seeing v2 and v1, they both looks very basic in term of adjustment. there is a lumbar contour, but can't say if it will be good or not. so far after researching about chairs for a month now and try and error buying ergonomic chairs, i think my litmus test for a good or not good chair is the seat depth adjustment. without that, I can say it's a no buy.

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Feb 10 2025, 07:13 PM) so doyoung good? should direct go for sihoo or this? Are these 2 chair same? the price quite different and it is from different company. https://www.alterseat.com/products/liv-10https://www.homepro.com.my/p/1072538Alterseat one can adjust seat depth. Doesnt look the same. Cant say if the doyoung/sihoo is good. I only used a rebrand sihoo m57. The lumbar support doesnt do anything to me. But the mesh is good. If you're looking chair for back pain, need to find more expensive models.

QUOTE(Pepatomato @ Feb 26 2025, 07:20 PM) Looking for a comfortable chair under 1K. If there's a shopee shop even better can see reviews. If it's a chair that you've personally used that would be perfect. Height : 177cm Weight : 120 kg (big bone muscle weight) Lately my back is killing me so I need a good chair that can handle my weight and feels steady. I don't really have time to go and test. It's a gamble I know but if you can help me reduce the risk of me buying a bad chair that would be awesome. I'm afraid buying new for 1k is too much of a gamble. You can never really tell a chair is good or not until you sat on it for like a full week. I got back problem, worsen because new office chair is super crap. I think to date I must have spend like 4 or 5k finding the chair for me. My current favorite chair is Okamura Contessa so far. Bought it used on fb marketplace in decent condition. I liked it better than my brand new Steelcase Leap. For 1k, I think you will have better chance getting a good chair from used market. Currently I'm seeing few Haworth Zody listings at good price. I would probably have bought them, but I already have 2 chairs.

QUOTE(bristlebb @ Mar 18 2025, 01:52 PM) any recommendation for full mesh chair around RM1k? is nitori chair good? saw one chair from evis and alterseat, look exactly the same dunno who's the copycat lol I'd say the nitori chair look basic. I have been into office chair these few months, you can easily tell if the chair is worth the asking price by looking underneath the seat. a lot of these chair is just a rebrand of the same model. but what makes the difference between these chair is the mechanism underneath the seat. take note of each adjustments that the chair provide. Proper ergonomic chair should have: 1. seat depth adjustment 2. lumbar adjustment. Bonus if the chair have 5 level recline lock and tilt tension adjustment. For 1k price, I'm looking at either TT racing aeroflex or Anew Inspire chair. These 2 chair got a lot of adjustments that few in the same price range offer.

Used for 4 yrs & quoted parts replacement cost RM375. I end up with the new Sihoo M57. [attachmentid=11511531] That is nice looking chair. Where to get it?

QUOTE(Katharsis @ Mar 23 2025, 06:12 PM) Hi guys. Could you recommend me an ergonomic office below RM1000? I'm 170cm tall and typically sit for many hours in front of my computer. I'm specifically looking for it to be a good mixture for ergonomic office work and comfortable leaning back for entertainment (gaming, media watching etc). I prefer mesh design and especially a comfortable seat cushion or mesh. I'm looking for one that's adjustable like lumbar height, seat pushed in or out, armrest positioning etc. The headrest especially since my previous one was still too tall to get it to rest in-between my neck/nape area. Lastly, a legrest would be nice too. I originally saw the Evis Ergopro and thought this could be good, but it's discontinued and the price was way over my budget. I saw few recommendations like the Sihoo M57 which cost around RM800 on Shopee which is sorta like the Ergopro. Anyone have experience with the M57, could you share your thoughts? If there's any cheaper but still feature-rich and comfortable options, do recommend them. Mainly looking for good value options. I used somewhat a rebrand of Sihoo M57. Seat is big, mesh quality is good, no complaint about neck support. However, lumbar support feels not right, it doesn't quite support anything so I end up with back pain. It's a basic chair with nothing too fancy. Didn't even have seat depth adjustment. The arm rest of my chair can't support my body weight when I raise up from the seat... Wouldn't buy it if it's anything more than RM400.

QUOTE(chai0917 @ Apr 10 2025, 03:37 AM) So far tried Alterseat CG Prime and Sihoo V1, came across TTRacing newly released Aeroflex also. Wondering which one should I buy (175+cm, 70+kg) Mesh seat is superior tp any cushion imo because your butt wont slide around in mesh seat. Between sihoo and alterseat, i cant say which is better, because their design looks almost the same.

QUOTE(gashout @ Apr 16 2025, 04:36 PM) im always worried mesh seat eventually will lose it's elasticity and goes out of shape... am i worrying too much that is a valid concern. i guess it depends on the chair too? i have 2 contessa at the moment, one feels loose, other is really springy. these two chairs is probably like 10 years old already. weirdly enough, i like the loose one better.

QUOTE(amandazsnt @ Apr 16 2025, 05:08 PM) Guys, are there are ergonomic chairs that are not expensive? Like the ones I can get on Shopee or Amazon etc.. I bought one before and it's not great You can find either used market for like 400-500 myr from high end brand. For brand new, RM1k will get you decent one. But there is a trick to find decent one. Follow my rule: 1-look underneath the seat, if it's just one big turn knob, it's probably not worth your time. 2- look for adjustable seat depth. if got none, don't even have to consider it. 3-arm rest: make sure the arm rest are not fused to the back of the chair. If you apply this rules, you will start seeing which chair is good and which is crap.

Got my Haworth Fern today. I think my search for my chair has ended. Got during lazada sale, 2.7k. They deliver the chair 2 days later by Haworth own lorry. They assemble everything on the lorry. You have to make sure someone is at home because they need someone to sign the delivery form.
As for the chair itself, I like the lumbar support. Feels like a pillow. I wouldn't say it's a must have, but it is a nice addition. It's not easy to remove.
Compared to Leap v2, this Fern recline is worlds better. It doesn't feel like I have to fight the chair to recline like in Leap. The only thing missing from this chair is a headrest. But since the backrest is already tall, you can easily put a pillow there, and it should be good.
