but steelcase allows customization on the colours, material, headrest, armrest and castor wheels without any extra lead time,  which is a huge plus

i spec-ed mine with garfield coloured mesh

Anyone uses any pillow or memory foam cushion for their butt?

Read through all 32 pages in 3 hours (including the posts, videos, specs etc)

I am using Markus now but the seat is cracked/tear (changed the seat once, the new one didn't last more than 2 yrs)

My new purchase, main requirement is to be fully mesh (back and bottom), ergonomic and wide (like Markus: so I can sit with my legs up)

Personally I am thinking of the following model (all seems wide enough, have mesh, "ergonomic enough"):
1) CG700 Alterseat
-> no review! why? -i think this one cost wise is ideal, has most of what i looking for. (not sure if the fix reclining is an issue or not for me and if the lumbar thingy is relatively good compare to others below)
2) ErgoPro Evis
-> seems pricy relative to other competitors here.
3) ErgoHuman AMOffice
-> this one seems like mixed review, so I can't be certain about this
4) Wau Merryfair
-> looks ok, just not sure about the plasticky parts.

I wouldn't mind spending more for Herman Miller but I don't think it is necessary. Also note that it is interesting that no reviews on CG700 Alterseat and Takeaseat chairs

Another Q: how many of you bought RM1k+ chair without testing it first? My dilemma now is whether to wait to test the above chairs before buying them (seems like a smart thing to do considering the price)
Any comments, ie what other considerations: warranties, personal xp etc?

did you actually get the leap? asking because i just bought 1 brand new for 2.3k but have to wait 3-4 weeks for production. the price does sound a bit too good to be true given the retail price.

i noticed in the youtube i linked, the chair you mentioned doesn't have a head rest. mine does and cost rm 500. the head rest for my chair made a difference for me. so the chair you recommend without it seems less appealing to me for that reason 

i use chair for multi purposes.

sit straight

rest back on chair with my head rested on a headest, with a lumbar comfortably supporting me

lets resting on let rest when i want to rest 
but like u said maybe their chair is not for that purpose, fine. but that to me just seem like less value for money haha. i'm only using the chair for home office gaming r&r 

hm.... this neck massager not bad. can also recharge with usb. i don't think i will use it all the time, just only when i am really aching.

it's a free gift that came with the chair. we all like free gifts don't we

but this particular one i bought don't have a headrest. Thinking of ordering one from Taobao (Taobao~RM200) or maybe just get the cheap 'universal' one from Shopee (Shopee~RM40). u guys think the rm40 shopee headrest could work with the Zody chair?
