 Trustable Agent or not?

I contacted this agent from Iproperty.com .my , and view a subsale kondo unit, I like it. So want to pay booking fees, he told me can bank into his company or write cheque.

I then search him in LPPEH.gov .my, and found he is not in the member section but in the negotiator section.
I saw his REN number, full name, company name, handphone number and Expiry date is 12/2020.

Is he trustable? can I go on and pay my booking fees to him or go to his office?

All cheques for booking deposits must be made payable in the name of the AGENCY. After reading the terms in the booking form and signed, you can safely pass the cheque to the REN. On the hand, if you feel 'safer' to deal everything in the agency office, go ahead.

Thanks for the replies.

Is it ok, when his license going to expire in 12/2020 (3 days time).

One of my worries is, after the earnest deposit, he will be be responsible to anything and further steps of purchasing the property will be slow moving.
