So I just got my new phone, and naturally I would be like everyone else googling the hell out of my new phone and the features what not, saving battery life etc. I came across this article that says we shouldn't or actually should never force close our apps, as much as I hate to admit like everyone else is doing, we are all so used to force closing our apps so naturally, even if we just open the app for a few seconds, we immediately have the habit of force closing it, but we shouldn't, according to the article, the only one time u shud force close if its the app is not responding, otherwise it's pointless to force close and in fact might reduce performance and battery life.

So, is anyone aware of this ? And how true ? So far until today i've been literally force closing all my apps when I'm done or not using it.

This is so ironic though, these people saying force closing it is in fact hurting the battery more than not force closing bye.gif

Got it. A side question unrelated to this, my old IP6 64GB original screen is cracked, on the side bottom left, if I were to trade in / sell, how much would the value be ?

Trade-in - I see Switch offers up to rm185
Sell - Probably nobody wants it. Gonna be super hard to find a buyer.

I suggest you just keep it as a spare phone or as an alarm clock.

So u mean even if my phone screen cracked, they still accept trade in ? Will consider the 2nd option most likely.

Not sure if they will accept or not. You will need to bring the phone to them to evaluate.

Even if they do, it will be at a very low price.
Offer up to rm185 is probably for phone that is still in good condition.

no difference actually. ios will automatically force close it when memory demand is there. end of the day, those app will still be running like normal when launch/re-launch normally (even if it is in the app switcher) because of how the apps being coded to do.
optimization works in both way, OS and APPS.
