Is there such thing as agent referral fee?

I just heard this from another friend of mine. Lets say if i have a friend who wants to sell his house and i know a reputable agent that can help this friend of mine to sell. If i intro this friend of mine to this agent and the agent start advertising and eventually manage to sell it, i will get a small referral fee from the agent for the intro and manage to sell the house from my connection.
Now is there such thing? If there is such thing how many % would i get from the agent? I would assume its a small % cut from the agent fee that they would give me?
