Currently looking at flooring alternatives for a 2k sqft car porch.

Current porch was tiled many years ago (6"x6" type).

Considered plain concrete or re-tiling but they are too mainstream.

Looked at epoxy but it is overpriced (epoxy costs about the same as concrete in other countries but is x2 the cost of tiles here).

Really wanted to go for SPC Flooring but was told that it's not suitable outdoor.

And then I looked at wet pour of SBR & EPDM rubber flooring (those running track type) but no reviews as to whether it lasts long or not under car pressure.

Anyone did their outdoor flooring differently?

Concrete paver tiles (like pedestrian sidewalk) will be hardwearing and less prone to cracking.

One question, wouldnt these in the future become loose and the gaps will grow weeds? Not sure how they are laid, but Im guessing using sand?

ah yes forgot to mention I considered brick pavers as well but dislike having to remove weeds from the grout line periodically. haha

just curious, is it possible to paint the existing tiles? similar to epoxy i guess

from what I have heard, it will not be durable and will require repainting every 2-3 years.

definitely possible though using primer before painting with special paint

from lazada, 5liter of expoxy is rm100, cover 40-60sqf/liter
assume 50sqf lah
your is 2000sqf. so need 8 cans. = rm800

probably this is the most economic solution jor

Concrete inprint plus pebble wash design.

I still prefer the original developer concrete imprints because it helps to hide my engine oil leaks stains....ehehehhe.
