I think they changed to Satay Hut before closed for good.

Ya , it used to be a rambutan plantation where many people go there to hang themselves. Fav place to suicide. Even the next door condo is said to be haunted.

Not sure. My friend has been staying there since the early 70s, never heard any story about hanging. Although there was somebody that 14th floor from the hotel there a few years back.

everything went south after Gurney Plaza open in 2001

what is wrong with One-Stop:
no supermarket
no cinema
no attraction
no reason for repeat customer to go there
located 5 min away from Gurney Plaza (which have a Cinema and supermarket)
used to be infested with pirated VCD shop....now no longer available

Of cos laa your friend won't say. Saying is haunted is like saying its flooded , bad resale value. Anyway landed there are worth millions , congrats to your friend. There used to be a cafe called Medann behind / opposite the mall. The ah peks like to kap siao tok kok , one of them mentioned this while I was eating there.

Another one is Jeng jeng jeng..... the always popular queensbay mall.
