Yeah. Its a conclusion I came to based on anecdotal experience dealing with MBPJ. Illegal reno, nuisance to neighbour, deserve to be torn down. And if MBSJ is anything like MBPJ its really the last avenue for them and they will have covered their bases legal wise

I wont side her though, just be courteous and consult with your neighbour when you are doing reno and you wont have this problem. If she bothered to apply for approval the officer would also have pointed out the flaw in her awning. Literally plenty of ways to go about it. That was my main point in the post. If its true about the illegal entry, she can take it up to court. My opinion wont affect her court case either way
