as the matter of fact they do after 3 warning and 3 visitation
i guess the warning issued at least in the span of 6 months
and they will charge the owner for the demolition cost
been there done that to my neighbours, with mbpp and mbpj
and usually they are accompanied by police

awning demolition is just easy, imagine its if it is illegal extension of the kitchen to the neighbour's land
they will come in and partially demolish your walls and charge you at full cost
then you will need to pay for the full demolition + renovation again asap
or live with no kitchen and risk rain damaging your equipement

if the renovation is not problematic or no complaints at start
or they pay the paneities and fix the problems
then town council won't use such measure
