did wii can play dvd movie?

Wii has no DVD playback. But recently homebrew people have found a way to watch DVDs but must have modded console. Similar to disc swapping like old PS1/PS2 era.

Games for Wii nothing much to offer at the moment. You'd best enjoy the titles available on the 360 first. Plus, most of them can play online.

Unless you're really interested in Wii games such a Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, then get a Wii.

WII got game like fifa? tiger wood? need for speed?

Of course, but they play abit differently, like Fifa, when you do throw-ins, you have to hold the Wiimote + Nunchuck over your head, then flick forward

Nope, you'll need a vga box or a tvcard with rca inputs
They cost about RM100ish to RM200
About the same as an original vga cable for xbox360.

So you cannot use that to decide

I've recently started Wii, coming from xbox360.
Wii's outstanding game remain to be mario strikers charged, zelda and believe it or not, wiisport
There are more outstanding games in xbox360 (Gears of War,Rainbow six:Vegas,Forza Motorsport2, etc) but the controllers are not as fun/good.

Maybe you should wait for Metroid Prime 3, supposedly released at the end of this month and Halo 3, which will be released next month.

Traditionally, Metroid Prime is equally as good as Halo and Metroid Prime 2 to Halo 2.
So lets see who finish will finish the fight

Xbox 360- the new batches are all OK and for a little more money you get the BEST games of 2006-2010.

I still fail to see the Wii more than a big joke that's selling because it was quite cheaper (now after the price cuts, not much)...

Wii is for more fun for multiplayers purpose.. A family entertainment console. U can do exercise wif ur whole body which others game console couldn't force u to do it.

Playing Wii alone will make u looks even lonely.

using the remote to swing the bat, fishing, gunfiring, jumping, skipping, rolling, cooking... too many to mention. It is a magical remote control!

Wii is a revolution to play the game. Everyone will get funky no matter how young & elder u r.

Haha. even my parents oso playing bowling now. It's just too fun and u want to try it at least once in ur lifetime.

Popcap games on PC can do that already. For much cheaper.
Tried it thrice, concluded it was for people in midlife crisis.


If you're shelling out more than RM500 for a gaming machine I think you deserve to get some decent value out of games- almost everyone developing on Wii are rather lazy making the game substantial, just making cheap cashouts like mini-games. Games so good like Bioshock will never be on the Wii, expect Super Mario Galaxy to be the sole exception.


I still recommend a decent PC with Steam- beats any console so far, slightly older games like Company of Heroes are tons cheaper. (Buy origamesplz)

yeah... FPS game is not for everyone. Especially, u r a bad gamer even ppl besides will feel dizzy as well. I play 15minutes. i will lie der for over 30 minutes to regain my stamina.. Too dizzy..

Haha..Wii got alot of mini games in one DVD. U want serious tittles. u gotta wait for longer first. Currently, COD, RE4 & Zelda are good gfx Wii game.

"Monkey ball" alone got around 50 mini games to play wif ur partners.

PC game, i only like Strategy games in it. Popcaps games not bad. Pretty addictive. But dat is not exercise game console. Wii is the one could make ur butt off the chair and work out!.. Haha.

In my game theory, awesome gfx is not the main reason ppl will KEEP playing the game. It is the comfortable gameplay which will make gamer addict to it.

Wii is from Nitendo. It stands for Family+Kids category..

I choose wii because its games are fun, short and can be played for a short period with satisfying fun. Working life doesn't permit me playing so long in front of the tv like I used too...so wii is a blessing for ppl like me.

i tot if you have s-video connection, you dont need a vga box- you can just connect directly to monitor to play PS2/Wii/Xbox?

oh yeah, to the original thread starter - just get a wii. you can thank us later for it. xbox (or is it xbox 360 you wanted?) is just a normal console. wii is a revolutionary console all together! wii have one thing which xbox dont have - F-U-N!

i recommended wii since u say u just like simple game... but if me, i will take xbox.

FPS games are my favourite type of games. If I didn't play FPS, I would feel lost.

Regarding the consoles, if you're not going to play FPS games then you might want to stick with the WII. I mean, most games are going to be FPS related games. Some adventure, some role playing, lots of sports, etc.

WII can be enjoyed by the whole family. Simple games, simple graphics, tons of hours of fun.

Xbox 360 is different. Excellent graphics, not much movement unless you plan to do aerobic exercises while playing those games. But you won't regret the Xbox 360. Next gen graphics, serious gamers will go for it.

if ur into hardcore gaming..i suggest u get an xbox. coz the games on wii are like...something like those old days when u & ur frenz hang around and play pokemon. but it's entirely up to you of course, the type of games u play

i am not too sure about the games. Im pretty sure games like bleach will be fully in jap too.

U haf to pay more for another Nunchuck or 2nd players..

The remote is pricey imo. But u will love how it can make the rest controllers couldn't perform.

The rest couldn't perform if u have an extra remote? How come? I have 2 nunchuk and remote...and both working fine. The remote is not pricey if you bought it bundle with your first purchase. I even got a charger station for both the wiimote with my purchase.

Every package comes wif 1 remote + 1 nunchuck.
Then the 2nd remote is free when he bought Wiiplay.
So, he only spend extra on the 2nd nunchuck.

Wii is good if u wanna get physically active and dun have the motivation to do it outside

So far, I'm playing wii sport like nobody's business and it makes me feel good and pumped..especially the boxing training mode. Oh yeah..the daily fitness test is a great motivation too.

i think yes but compare to others like the newest ps3 ... Xbox 360 have more game now ... and the graphic is better and the controller is wireless if i not wrong so u go toilet also can continue the game ur playing so i prefer u buy Xbox 360

, 1. pc need install, more game more hardisk capacity u need, o yes, i can uninstall it, but when i want to play it again, then u need install it again, remove n install, remove n install, ur hardisk life span will decrease, 2.Console no need worry about driver/system n compatible hardware problem. 3.Mostly certain good game will release on console version first, so pc user have to wait it maybe after 1 or 2 years, howabout Gear of war and Halo3, bro?? 4.Too many certain good game from PS3 n Xbox360 still not or will not release on pc version, example like Tekken, Blue Dragon, dead or alive, forza motosport 2 and etc....(too many lah), so please make sure u really can play all xbox360 game on pc b4 u get dreaming on it again.
