My car have been using stock size tyres similar to yours, 205/45r17. Changed from Contisportcontact 5 to Continental MC6 in Sept 2019 and to Goodyear Eagle F1 sport in Sept 2020. Reason for the change from MC6 to Eagle F1 sport is due to a sidewall bulge in one of the tyre, likely bad road surface and potholes. In summary, I would rate the tyres in the following order (better to worst):
Handling in general - MC6 > CSC5 > EF1S
Comfort - EF1S > MC6 > CSC5
Noise at <80km/h - EF1S > MC6 > CSC5
Noise at >80km/h - EF1S = MC6 > CSC5
Rolling resistance - EF1S > MC6 = CSC5
I can't comment much on braking, as I havent done any E-brake. But felt EF1S need to start braking slightly earlier, compared to MC6/CSC5. Braking confident is slightly better in MC6.
Immediate feel of the tyre is that EF1S is a lot more comfortable (felt rounded when run over uneven surface) and less noisy at low speed. I will give MC6 the edge for confidence at higher speed cornering. Also, I notice the fuel consumption has been alot lower on the EF1S (12 to 14km/L) compared to MC6 (9 to 10 km/L).
Cheers.
