Hello
Sorry if wrong thread, but anyone got experience buying SSD from taiwan seller? hmm.gif

I found this guy selling at RM400+ for Kingston A2000 1TB instead of local price at RM470.
https://shopee.com.my/Kingston-A-2000-Nvme-...0262.6837393318

Was thinking of buying one. Reviews points to okay (even got someone show benchmark) but I wonder how come some of these from taiwan can sell for cheap? Risks? hmm.gif

Add RM29 more for Transcend MTE220S 1TB at RM499 from Viewnet. 2200TBW endurance rating. A country mile more TBW.

what was the post specifically? hmm.gif
sorry, this thread is quite long to sift through sweat.gif
googling gives me this change in controller info only (swapping SM2262EN with the SM2262G) and slower NAND (?).
dunno i'll notice this tho hmm.gif
https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/..._to_the_sx8200/

specifically aiming for NVME replacement for my current samsung 970 (or 960? forgot model, later i'll check) 256GB
now wanna expand to 1TB so i could put a bit more stuff in there.
not really aiming for high-end, i guess around A2000 performance is sufficient (2000MB/s+ etc) hmm.gif

if the SX8200 Pro is no good then i'll think again hmm.gif

well saw that as well while searching, backed a bit after seeing price difference. i probably wont notice the difference for anything above 2000MB/s honestly hmm.gif
A2000 1TB is rated for 600TBW, i don't think i'll write that much tbh. even if i write 100TB per year, it'll still take 6 years to reach that 600TBW. 2200TBW might've been overkill sweat.gif

And I guess I'm posting here mostly because of unsure if SSD from Taiwan can be trusted or not. Price diff very high wor. 400 vs 470+, tempting sweat.gif

Newer SX8200 Pro got slower controller and NAND flash.
can consider Corsair Force (need check price) / WD black... but pricey sweat.gif

Basically i can see you already decided for Kingston A2000 1TB. If you don't care about warranty then go ahead. About whether the seller trusted or not it is quite obvious judging from the ratings he received (50+).

No DRAM, as NVME SSD can utilized HMB which will still give it a good performance vs SATA SSD without DRAM.
https://www.techpowerup.com/267378/klevv-in...10-m-2-nvme-ssd

But the read/write speed is not impressive for pcie gen 3 x4 product.

Hi people, would like to look for M.2 PCIe NVME SSD with 2TB size.

I have researched awhile, just found out the ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO 2TB which was my original choice, is not good anymore as Adata changed its nand and controller to a more inferior one.

Any other suggestion for a good SSD? Am looking at SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS, but the size seems only 1TB and the price is expensive nia cry.gif

Look for Transcend MTE220S 2TB at RM1099 from Viewnet. PNY CS3030 2TB can be around around RM1.1k.
