Small item, to a personal name/home address, usually they will not bother. If you put company name, very high chance kena kacau.

Also, remove any ori packaging if possible (make it look like cannot resell). If they think it is new, they will tax.

If new phones or new laptop, or any telecommunication devices, they will ask for SIRIM certification. If kena this sure mati. My company send me a laptop to work from home. Abang kastam ask me for Sirim approval. I had to argue it is a used laptop then only he lepas.

tax= yes...if kastam checked...and find the invoice...

then, u kena SIRIM check...another few hundred bucks through agent, or u go yourself apply....still waste of time.

good luck

i am twice buyer from aliexpress for phone...

lastly, u use DHL....the % kena is very high....becoz...DHL waiting to get your money.

im guessing wrapping it as a christmas wrapping paper will do the job, but do they ask the content?

Another note : If used phone, not allowed to courier to any international destination by air due to battery. Check if they have by road shipment.

If you ship anything internationally, you need to include a shipping invoice. That is a declaration of the content. if they don't believe you, they have the right to open the package and check.

So why not buy the phone in Malaysia? You won't get it cheaper buying in Spore and add on courier fees, custom tax and SIRIM cert. If the phone is a gift inform the giver that you would rather not go through the hassle and fees.

it is a gift thats the problem, but since the hassle is so much i'll just hold it off.

Thanks everyone for the advise
