Spot on, slippery condition and damp field (if not flooded) were 2 main reasons for the draw.

I hope these 2 reasons are obvious enough for Arteta to structure the team and strategize the tactics better. Teams that are serious contenders should be versatile enough to perform in any circumstances: perfect condition, home/away, raining, downpour, dry/hard surface, super cold/warm, etc. Our "down-to-earth" gameplay may not work in some of these. Give it a variety of players (some good with the ball, some good in positioning and some good in the air) and a variety of gameplay options (short passes, long passes, counter-attack, or just be the badass knocking down everyone in the field )

Having said so, AW was criticized for being stubborn in his gameplay too.
