Gyokeres didn't receive much if any service at all vs Utd, Pool and City..
Unless Arteta's tactic changes, Havertz is still the most ideal ST for these type of matches..
But I dont think I can fully shit on Arteta's choice of tactics though, because clearly it works. We barely drop points or lose against the usual Big 6 teams nowadays..
As fans we all wish to see exciting football vs well drilled overly-structured playstyle every time, all the time.. But on the other hand, rmb the dark days where we dread playing against big 6 and how we always struggled/did badly against Big 6? Like we would expect to lose the game we just hoped it wont be a thrashing... if we somehow nicked a draw very cukur dy?? And winning was a freaking miracle.
Kind of cant have your cake and eat it too kinda moment. If we want to do well against big 6 sides, this is how we gotta play.
and pls we are not the only ones playing like this. Pool played the exact same conservative style as us in our match, and today City played even more conservative than we ever did...
It's just what top teams do when facing each other, now that is a fact of life, anyone trying to spin it as just 1 side playing haramball needs to get their heads checked.
Dont let the media try and push a narrative. If Arteta did what Pep did today, media and rival fans will grab their pitchforks out to slaughter Arteta for playing haramball or terrorist football when even freaking Pep Guardiola started parking the bus playing fucking 5-4-1 to defend a 1-nil lead in the 2nd half.. While his players flailing at the slightest of touches and Donnarumma time wasting..
In fact, Pep's
11 men today played like how Arsenal played with
10 men last season trying to defend a lead.
But you wont hear a squeak about it from outsiders..
Personally, I wish Arteta would trust his players more.. that they will not fuck it up if they play with more freedom..
We destroyed man city 5-1 last year without a single second of saka's involvement.
