Looks like ramsdale will play in FA cup and EFL cup, while Raya will be preferred for EPL and UCL

top 4 finish in the league is the minimum, anything higher is a bonus.

PGMOL have responded following today’s controversial decisions at St James’ Park.

On Bruno Guimaraes elbow: “He's not used his arm as a weapon, it's not nice but no more than a yellow card.”

On the Newcastle goal: “The ball looks out but we can't possibly give it from that angle.”

On the push on Gabriel: “There's two hands on Gabriel's back but we can't be sure it's a push.”

On Gordon being offside: “There's no conclusive evidence whether Gordan is behind the ball, so stick with onfield decision.”

I didn't think the ball has gone out but it was certainly a push. Nevertheless, Newcastle deserved the win. They played well to counter our tactics. It was almost like Wenger era where we get physically pounded by teams like Stoke.

Deserve a draw yes, but how did newcastle deserve to win, they literally only has 1 shot on target.

u win a game by outscoring your opponent, nothing else matters.

greece also won Euro b4 with literally only has 1 shot on target all the time.

when the GK unable to deal with such cross regularly, it's inevitable.

Greece scored legit goal, newcastle didn’t
newcastle didn't do anything that deserves a win

Viera red card is hilarious

Next time should consider elbow right in the face instead

At first i tot funny also
But after watched the replay then i think it was quite a dangerous tackle with stud up on the knee, this could break the player’s knee

Aaron Ramsdale’s father has criticised Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for not telling his son why he has been dropped in favour of David Raya.

England goalkeeper Ramsdale started in Arsenal’s first four Premier League games, but has been relegated to the bench following Raya’s arrival on loan from Brentford.

Ramsdale’s father, Nick, told The Highbury Corner podcast that his son had “lost his smile” and was finding it difficult after not being given an explanation by Arteta.

Nick Ramsdale said: “Aaron’s lost that smile to when he was holding on to that ball at this moment in time and it is difficult.

“It really is difficult to see him there and we all keep saying ‘you need to keep smiling’.”

He added: “It’s possibly the way it’s been done. Not knowing the reason why, and this is me because we don’t know why. Again, Aaron is working as hard as he can. He’s trying to do his best for the squad. He’s upbeat and he’ll do everything for Arsenal to try and win the league.”

Ramsdale signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners in May, but has played second fiddle since Raya arrived in August on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move.

Nick Ramsdale added: “Aaron is going to be the cup goalkeeper, and David Raya is going to be the main man unless something happens, an injury or a sending-off. Aaron’s got to live with that and he is living with that even though he’s not been told it. By anybody.”

Arsenal lost the EFL cup, so have to wait for the FA cup next year to see Ramsdale again, unless something happens to Raya.
