Nwaneri looks very promising, i think he can cover odegaard’s role very well.
Why cedric is still here, this guy is too one footed and not good enough. This post has been edited by lostxkitten: Jul 14 2023, 10:56 AM |

QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 20 2023, 08:31 PM) And you think kroenke bought arsenal so that he will make a loss? Yes, so like I implied it's not self sustainable. The only reason why he spends is he probably got advised wrongly that winning will mean the club makes back all the money and I think fans were starting to boycott. Think about it. While Wenger was here, why didn't he spent in the degree he is doing right now. He could have made a statement that says Wenger will be spending money to get arsenal back to the top and a new director of football appointed. And that if arsenal missed out on top 4 again, Wenger will be fired. I mean does Wenger really need to spend as much as what is happening right now? He probably removed Wenger as it was the most cost effective way in his mind at that time. You see, he was ok with top 4 when Wenger was around. Do you expect him to change his mind? The only reason why he spends is because he expect an even greater return and he is scared his investment will be ruined if fans start to boycott the club. Kroenke will demand that loan back. Hope you dun think kroenke is willing to help arsenal without expecting anything back. |

QUOTE(Optizorb @ Jul 21 2023, 11:41 PM) anyway people are excited to have Rice in the team. Yeah, timber looks very promising in his first game.but i say, Timber is the one who will make our jaws drop when we see him play. He was everywhere on the pitch. QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 22 2023, 05:36 PM) And what is wrong with my post? It is the same logic when you apply for a loan from the Bank.Brain. You talking about yourself? One guy actually say I no brain. Can tell me why? I read what I wrote again. Anything wrong with what I said? I think if what I write also got problem then this thread should only limit to fan only. Outsiders cannot write anything. Should I report him. Actually I have reported him. After all his post deserve to be reported more then mine. Because I think he deserves to get banned more then me But I will say why last 2, paragraph is a contradiction. One imply that loans were used to buy the players. The other imply that it was due to good management that the player can be bought. If really good management, need to get loan from kroenke? So need loan to buy stadium. Need loan to buy players. This called self sustainable? So which is which. They will screen your financial statements, projection revenues and the project GDC etc. They wont give you a loan for free, they expect returns and mutually benefiting agreement. Just like how our squad is currently the most valuable in the world. If the owners want to sell, they can get great money. We used to be sustainable without needing owners injection (thanks to wenger) until the later stage of Wenger era, we had many overpaid players without playing in the Champions League. The team culture and connection with the fans were gone. So, we had to reset to get back to the level we were and we need a loan/injection from the owner for it. The Kroenkes are investing as a businessman with the ambition to make Arsenal great again. Before we got CL, we only signed players with max price of 50m each. But after we got CL, the Kroenkes are more willing to splash the money such as getting Declan Rice for 105m. QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 23 2023, 10:03 AM) Oh please. After Kroenke become sole owner and Wenger gone, the first project was with Unai Emery as 'Head Coach', and Raul Sanllehi as Director of Football along with management/coach overhaul.Pepe? aubemayang? How come you arsenal fans have so short term memory. And you guys were the highest spenders for the past 5 years. But seriously. Pepe was part of this first project. The 50m limit transfer fee and youth or approaching peak playing age profile signing rules were the new project with Arteta as the Manager. Footballer peak age (except GK) is usually 25-28 years old, can be older for defenders, you will notice most of our players are approaching this peak age. QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 23 2023, 10:03 AM) Obviously kroenke does not know how to run a football club and because he knows the valuation of Arsenal will drop if he just go by the "self sustainable" model, he decided to make his son appear interested in Arsenal and pour in his money into arsenal. But the thing about loans is, it is using future money to pay for current spending. So kroenke is going to want his money back. And once he realizes he was a fool for overpaying for average players, you will start to see him doing whatever to recover his money back. He probably cannot even sell the club right now at the same value as abhrahomovic did when he sold Chelsea. The sustainable model won't work anymore for Arsenal if not playing in CL.Arsenal is not the only club that is funded by their owner. EPL has become more competitive than ever. Teams that are not competitive enough and poor will get left behind while others are improving. Chelsea/Man City/Newcastle/Aston Villa/Fulham/Everton/Brighton/Leicester and others are all improving their teams through their owner funding. Abramovich didn't a single cent from the selling of Chelsea FC. QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 23 2023, 10:03 AM) You see, arsenal actually had a strong foundation when arsene was here. All that needs to be done was continue using the self sustainable model but appointing a football director to manage the finance side of things. Then demand that arsene start managing the club in a more financially responsible way by trimming down the wage bills and renegotiate wages or ship those with overbloated wages out. Especially those average players. No more being a nice guy anymore. Reason why arsenal cannot qualify for champions League is because there are too many average players under Wenger with high wages. And arsenal cannot buy the top players due to salary restrictions. Their salary bill was near the highest at that time and yet most of the players were average players. Also commercially, they are not making much for a club of their statue. This matter can be resolved if a football director with a strategy is appointed that will start trimming down wages and also making sure players leave at the best price. Arsenal then can actually focus on getting the best players that arsene wants but all of the negotiations has to be now done by the football director and arsene has very little say. You see, arsenal fans were actually knowledgeable at that time and can see the problem. Arsene being there with his stubbornness is only going to ensure more mediocrity. And fans at that time knows it. You can only do so much with average players. Also arsene was losing his touch. But he can steer the ship until the very very best person comes in. Arsene Wenger was given too much power that is why we were not sustainable anymore at the end of his tenure. If arsenal announce to the fans that they will get the best players but now a director of football be appointed to trim down the wages, the fans will be placated. The owner realized that and when unai emery was appointed, his position was just as a Head Coach and Raul Sanllehi as the Director of Football. But that gave Arsenal another big problem, Raul Sanllehi was given too much power and made a mess with the team direction and signings. He signed 72m Pepe who suits for counter attacking playstyle but we are playing different playstyle. Now, we have Edu Gaspar as DoF and Arteta as First Team Manager, Mertesacker as Academy Manager. These are all former Arsenal players who knows our identity, culture and direction we are going as Arsenal FC. Arteta was upgraded from Head Coach to First Team Manager, so he can work closely with Edu Gaspar and Vinai regarding the signings and direction. QUOTE(BrookLes @ Jul 23 2023, 10:03 AM) But because kroenke just look at arsenal as a cash cow and is totally not interested in the club, he decide to just let arsene manage the club as long as the club makes money for him. And not actually look at actual strategy to improve profits etc. Until fans started boycotting the club and the club valuation is going down if nothing is done. You see you guys could have waited until the very best person comes in but he just succumb to fan pressure. I mean other owners would have looked for the best person to manage the club before asking arsene to leave. Arsenal is a club with class, culture and tradition.I mean think about it. Any serious owner is going to appoint arteta for a club of arsenal statue to manage the club? Anyway. You guys probably will not understand what I am writing about. Not all fans will be happy if they just become another oil money club, though I don't really care about it lol They tried with Unai Emery but it didn't work. So, they appointed management team personnel who knows about the culture and direction of Arsenal FC. Even if Arteta gone, the new manager will be left with a good squad.
