It is the same logic when you apply for a loan from the Bank.
They will screen your financial statements, projection revenues and the project GDC etc.

They wont give you a loan for free, they expect returns and mutually benefiting agreement.
Just like how our squad is currently the most valuable in the world.
If the owners want to sell, they can get great money.

We used to be sustainable without needing owners injection (thanks to wenger) until the later stage of Wenger era, we had many overpaid players without playing in the Champions League. The team culture and connection with the fans were gone.

So, we had to reset to get back to the level we were and we need a loan/injection from the owner for it.

The Kroenkes are investing as a businessman with the ambition to make Arsenal great again.

Before we got CL, we only signed players with max price of 50m each.
But after we got CL, the Kroenkes are more willing to splash the money such as getting Declan Rice for 105m.

After Kroenke become sole owner and Wenger gone, the first project was with Unai Emery as 'Head Coach', and Raul Sanllehi as Director of Football along with management/coach overhaul.
Pepe was part of this first project.

The 50m limit transfer fee and youth or approaching peak playing age profile signing rules were the new project with Arteta as the Manager.
Footballer peak age (except GK) is usually 25-28 years old, can be older for defenders, you will notice most of our players are approaching this peak age.

The sustainable model won't work anymore for Arsenal if not playing in CL.
Arsenal is not the only club that is funded by their owner.

EPL has become more competitive than ever.
Teams that are not competitive enough and poor will get left behind while others are improving.
Chelsea/Man City/Newcastle/Aston Villa/Fulham/Everton/Brighton/Leicester and others are all improving their teams through their owner funding.

Abramovich didn't a single cent from the selling of Chelsea FC.

Arsene Wenger was given too much power that is why we were not sustainable anymore at the end of his tenure.

The owner realized that and when unai emery was appointed, his position was just as a Head Coach and Raul Sanllehi as the Director of Football.

But that gave Arsenal another big problem, Raul Sanllehi was given too much power and made a mess with the team direction and signings.
He signed 72m Pepe who suits for counter attacking playstyle but we are playing different playstyle.

Now, we have Edu Gaspar as DoF and Arteta as First Team Manager, Mertesacker as Academy Manager.
These are all former Arsenal players who knows our identity, culture and direction we are going as Arsenal FC.

Arteta was upgraded from Head Coach to First Team Manager, so he can work closely with Edu Gaspar and Vinai regarding the signings and direction.

Arsenal is a club with class, culture and tradition.
Not all fans will be happy if they just become another oil money club, though I don't really care about it lol

They tried with Unai Emery but it didn't work.
So, they appointed management team personnel who knows about the culture and direction of Arsenal FC.

Even if Arteta gone, the new manager will be left with a good squad.
