Hi guys,

I know this has been done to death but I really have this headache and want some opinions from the sifus here.

Car is an Alza. Tyre size is 195/55/R15

Current tyre is EP300.

Candidates for replacement

Bridgestone Turanza ER30
Bridgestone Ecopia EP300
Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2
Michelin XM2+
Continental UC6

Any of them ok? Looking for something comfortable for everyday use. Family car. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

if you can afford a slight top up over the rest, the Michelin XM2 will be a good choice.

The price diff among all the brands u mentioned vs Michelin should be roughly about RM 35-50 per piece

my vote for Michelin XM2+
been using since xm2 had used 3-4 sets
its a balance tyre with reasonable lifespan, grip, wet handling and fuel economy..

XM2 on my Avanza, will probably get a new set soon. Comfy, good grip, all-weather performance, not noisy. Cons is, it wears out fast due to its grip

If you consider XM2+ then might as well just get PS3 because the price is already close yet PS3 is a much better tire. IMHO XM2 is not worth it. Otherwise just get something much cheaper like Assurance Triple Max 2.

Would recommend Yokohama Blu-Earth ES32 also.
One of the best value comfort tire around.
Michelin tires is a bit overrated nowadays, even Bridgestone & Continental also perform better compare to them nowadays.

Thanks for the opinions so far.

So happens I have a cousin that has fitted PS3 on his city. The grip was impressive but the problem was the ride was a lot stiffer than I wanted it to be.

Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 has the best value among the list. You get decent performance for the price.

The price is about rm150 per donut
