This is my favorite game still remember it after so many years. Beat analogman then only realize is not the ending, then found out the glitch of using life extender on andromon, play until the age 99 still on going keep blasting eletro spark. So OP the skill.

The glitch can be done with trader and card to obtain the life extender fruits. Got all the Digimon to town and nothing much to do afterwards

Do the jackpot training always, the timing becomes super easy to catch, as it's pretty consistent.

My favourite Digimon game! Aside from the weird glitches (e.g. jukebox), it was perfect to me. I played it a few times on ePSXe emulator (never owned a console ), though I don't recall ever winning the game.
I remember grinding my Agumon to fight Goburimon in order to make him learn magma bomb, because it was necessary to digivolve into Greymon. Fun times.

as a kid i remembered my digimon turning into either numemon or sukamon
then i be like "fak this" and just proceed to leaving him hungry and die
also the first time my agumon died i was quite saddened by it
later older i knew more or less how to play it, think the furthest i went was that ice area.

dw2 is very similar to pokemon gameplay, turn based rpg, but dw2 is better cos of the dna digivolve, its merging 2 digimons to increase the level cap and make a better stats digimon, and u need to dna specific digimons to get some very rare digimons

the only bad thing is it requires alot alot of grinding

oh..ok ..i remember i play japs version until sometime ..in the end pakai cheat engine (that time is like 1 piece of HW plug at the back) to have unlimited petrol

just that the domains can be repetitive for some
also its not common for digimon game to have attack sounds , like agumon shouting "pepper breath". Now cyber sleuth only with grunts etc topkek. atleast with voice attacks it adds to the character of the digimon.


grinding on an original ps1 was a pain since there are no autosave/save feature in dungeons. however with epsxe or on mobile, i just minimize and grind, similar to what i was doing on gacha games. instant restore games on epsxe makes the experience 100 times better. also you can save before trying to capture mons, since some of them have very low capture rates and toy planes are expensive as hell. just load everytime until they join you.

DNA digivolve yes its a pain, tho. some good mons were locked in 8+ or 20+ DP's (yes fuck you diaboromon thats why) but hey grinding gives you money as well so by the time you level up your mons you can easily afford those expensive engines and upgrades.

just get kuwagamon and scissor claw defense down the hell out of enemy mons, and you'll 1 shot the enemies most of the time

d1 was so hard, it makes climbing mount everest - a child's play.

The last boss, is it diaboromon? The sei cheater that shuffle your partner to the bottom one. Memang bugima, but ayam still manage to pawn him

diaboromon is not the last boss. after diaboromon, you need to battle everything again.

but its getting easier since after diaboromon, you can get 7 cards.

so to me, diaboromon is the hardest boss.

DW1 is the best for me because of its non linear gameplay. I remember the game doesn't force you to do missions in certain order. There are also side quests.

One I remember is the tournament that you can only enter if your digimon is insect type. The only way to get an insect digimon is to sleep besides a certain bush while in training level, and your digimon will evolve into Kunemon, then Kabuterimon.

Only digimon game i play till finished is Digimon World 3...really love that game

DW1 - played jp version from beginning, dunno what are they talking just run here n thr until i got the eng version. Only found out how easy it is for some places, manage to finish it but still lack some skill not able to acquire/learn. Then after that bring back all the digimon back to center.

DW2 - didn't finish it but after check guide, almost finish already but too bored after grinding lvl, because every 5lvl = 1 lvl u can up after fusion. it is a good game thou, but the grinding and the digimon that u wan at the end will need alot of time.

DW3 - story ok, easiest to lvl up just by fishing. because some digimon need meet certain digimon lvl requirement in order to evolve.

Digimon card - once u know the card on how to evolve directly to ultimate from rookie. it will be easy win at later stage.

Okay guys. Let me put my thoughts on this Digimon game.

To be honest I have played all Digimon game on PS1 and i loved them all for what they are. No sarcasm here. I ll summarize my experiences and reviews on each of them as short possible.

Digimon World:
This is my first ps1 game i bought (in 1999) before i afford to buy the console around 2001. I have played this game kind of a lot, repetitively even when i have owned a PC and emulator.
This is by far, the best Digimon world title and digimon game in general (nothing feels better overall like this game). Easily my top 1 ranking for digimon game.

Pros:
-The world blends nicely with the environment & its digimon
-Game objectives is interestingly unique on its own and quite a mystery
-Not really tough but not an easy game for sure
-Digimon design and animation looks way better than recent digimon game
-Best digimon petting system with lots of digivolution and skills
-Dungeon has their own story and mystery to be explored
-Nothing is not important, every quest, side games all add up for main objective in recruiting the digimon back to file city
-Battle with another player is possible

Cons:
The only downside about digimon world is:
-Bug on certain things,crash, freeze
-Pushing a lil bit too hard, digimon end up dying
-Lifespan is too short for digimon although it follows the real digivice vpet lifespan
-Clueless and less information to proceeds further at some point mid in the game (but i find this as what makes the game genuinely interesring,smthg yet to solves the puzzles and explore)

Digimon World 2:
It probably not as good as digimon world 1, but it definitely an interesting game for me. The soundtrack is what catch my ears the first time i played this game. Everything seems too amazing, BGM, sound effects, animation. My first playthrough got me demotivated for its hard grinding but got back into the game later grinding and proceeding dungeons eventually very rewarding. It makes the game a lot easier afterwards if we put all the hard works Unlike recent rpg game, u reached max level only to find the boss is still on a different level. Or sometimes u reach max level only to find the game is ending with least purpose of grinding. This is my 3rd ranking for digimon world title.

Pros:
-New dungeon experience and battle system
-Music, BGM, effects, animation is great
-Lots of rare and strong digimon can be captured in dungeon
-DNA digivolve makes the digimon carry over better stats and learned skills (the only digimon game that has huge skills can be learned lol)
-U can upgrade ur digi beetle and experiment stuff
-Battle with another player is rewarding and satisfactory especially to show off ur hard grind digimon (i beat adults/owner of cafe when im just 6 yrs old that time and being offered rm50 to copy my save data lol)

Cons:
-Grinding digimon is hard (but worth it) and u need to grind for your digibeetle too unfortunately
-Capturing/collecting rare digimon is fun but require specific items to bait them which is most of time is expensive for a higher level digimon
-Watch out your tank fuel or u ll end up leaving the domain/mission
-Not possible to save the game in dungeon
-Boss can be really hard
-Time consuming to experience the digimon digivolution or DNA digivolution

Digimon World 3:
This is probably the closest digimon game to pokemon, excepts that digimon world 3 provides with the best experience. I honestly love how digimon world 3 style and mechanic. U can choose up to 3 digimon in a party and they are all running around behind ur back. Easily my #2 rank in digimon world title. I still think it deserves its own franchise so t can remain number 1 for a different category lol.

Bump thread. Tried all Digimon PS1 games except the Card game. I dunno I not a fan for card game but I enjoyed mini game card battle in Digimon World 3.

So far I rate Digimon World 1 is my no 1 Digimon game.
Why? Because I actually completed the game without cheating. Finding certain secrets is fun. Like I discovered you can walk on invisible bridge in Canyon. And avoid Centarumon sniper shooting in maze forest. It's so damn fun and satisfying when you playing without need guide(except the evolution guide which I sucks and always get Numemon). Battle with final boss Machinedramon is satisfying. I also played the PSP game Digimon Re:digitize and I don't quite like it even the game concept is same.

Digimon World 2. I don't quite like it. Dungeon crawling game but damn the shit limit fuel. Ended up use Gameshark cheat codes to make it unlimited.

Digimon World 3 is my 2nd fav game. Love the graphics at that time. Hate the random enemies encounter so I use Gameshark cheat to disable it. Also finished the game. Back in 2007, fight last boss in 4am when it is few hours left for school. Tired but worth it. Ah, nothing can be valuable than our childhood time.

the europe version of 3, the definitive edition where theres postgame after galactimon
im stuck at postgame right now so hold for a while to run suikoden 2, 100% completion

At some point I maybe will play back on emulator to revisit haha. So far I keep playing World 1. Damn addicting especially the curling mini game.

2003 are harder and more random encounters hahah
dw1 ive already max prosperity so no need to go back
still alot of rpg backlog but 100% suikoden series is on my bucket list for a while, already done 1, 5 and tierkreis
2 is speed based cus of one timed side mission, if ure late, no 100%.
