QUOTE(civic98 @ Aug 21 2007, 09:58 PM) Hmm.. I thought all these iPhone hype is over already. At that price could get any much better spec PDA (minus the iPhone screen). I think anyone looking for a productivity tool, they would be better off with any Windows Mobile device. Anyone looking for a show-off fun phone, iPhone wins hands down. i just want the iPhone to sync my data and my work into my Mac ...that's all. no show-off behaviour on this statement ...but i know only only thing = Mac devices working gracefully ,both hardware and software . enuff said

QUOTE(deu5 @ Aug 22 2007, 04:19 PM) I second on that, been using macbook almost a year now, no problem so far compare to using windows base with all the viruses, spyware etc that slows down ur hardware, still havent finish exploring all the vast software, I've been using Windows Mobile (PPC) for almost 2 years, no virus as well. QUOTE(kokyun @ Aug 22 2007, 06:37 PM) Do you mind to guide us how do you do that, prefer screen shot if can. I heard the iPhone software updates won't work with hacked iPhones, where it would restore the phone to original settings. But that is for application hacks, not sure about these "Sim hacks".

SIM hack should still works. Since it does nothing to the software. It's just adding extra code on the SIM to fool the iPhone that it's an AT&T SIM.

Sorry Wei but I can't see how "can't get call-in" can possibly be even close to "everything working"... Good luck on the hacking process though. Am awaiting further breakthoughs with much anticipation!

Bro... i said "except" mar... It's easier for me to put it that way, instead of saying: "sms in, sms out, edge, blah blah blah...".
Anyway, since the software unlock are coming tonight. We shall wait for more report. Anyone trying the software unlock?

The iPhone is only sold in the U.S. and has not been released for sale in Malaysia. If you have bougth an iPhone, the only way to claim any sort of warranty is to send it back to the States. I am not even sure whetehr you have to state your location of residence to make such warranty claims. It's like buying the Wii or PS3. Your warranty comes from the vendor who sold it to you, on his terms.
Having said that, TurboSIM works, with caveats.
Tested on a DIGI Prepaid, everything works.
Tested on MAXIS Postpaid, only incoming calls do not work. Not sure why this is so at this stage, but will investigate further. Refering to a post at another forum, somone who tested with the SilverCard SIM cloning hack also reported complete functions on a DIGI Postpaid, but when using a Prepaid MAXIS, incoming calls were also unavailable. Could very well be a protocol that is used by MAXIS that is in conflict with the iPhone? Some one postulated that it could be a NOM problem (dont ask me what it is - Google for it).
