Hi,

I have already used Netflix for a year with astro. Cut down on movies and sports. Now I am thinking of removing astro and rely on freeview TV. The only shows I watch on astro are news and hgtv. I also have google chromecast on the TVs.

If I remove the astro and just put antenna in its place, can I just reuse the astro cables for freeview?

I currently have two decoders from one dish. Save me time to lay down new cables.

Also, can the freeview antenna supports 2 or more tvs? I am planning to pull cables to other places as well for freeview.

Lastly, when will Disney+ come to Malaysia? I have heard that hgtv is on Disney+. Maybe worth getting that over Netflix?

Get astro njoi. Switching fee is RM50 one time payment. Reuse your existing decoder. Keep your 2nd decoder as spare as Njoi no warranty

If Disney + comes to Astro, you can buy Njoi Prepaid Card.

I'm currently using Njoi + shared UHD Netflix Account

Both of my decoders are on this list. So rm 50 for both conversions? No need to pay the rm 500 right? One time payment right? Currently both boxes connect and to the TV with hdmi

i just convert mine to NJOI since last 2 months. it's RM199 for one time payment only. the RM50 is only during offer period which is no longer valid during my time. the best way to call them to switch is a few days before your billing cycle. it's takes a few days to switch because they have to terminate your current astro service first, just let the decoder on standby mode. you have to manually check after 3 to 4 days because they not calling you again after the activation is complete.

If rm 200, is it cheaper to install antenna and freeview box? Does freeview have the same problem like astro with clouds/rain?

since i don't have a freeview unit, and wanted to have a satellite decoder to watch TV incase my internet down, that why i willing to pay for the oneoff, instead of buying another freeview set and install it again just for the same purpose, might as well i utilize the existing installation.
