So I was doing a freelancing project for my client, but I do not own a company for my services. When comes to invoicing I can create my own title but the problem is, it is still not under a registered company.

My client has an issue with my invoice as it is not a legit company, as it might face auditing issues.... Is there any way to overcome this? Like going through a 3rd party company or a freelancing portal that doesn't incur additional charges?

If freelancing is a long term thing that u r doing, then u should just go register a company at SSM only. Bukan mahal pun lesen Sole Proprietorship baru RM60/year. Having a valid company with valid company number on your invoice can give a better impression and confidence to your clients.

Its better you register your company, even if you are working as a Freelancer. It will help you in the future, you never know you might get more work. If you register your company, make sure to follow HASIL rules and get it registered.

Create a sole prop to be on the safe side (esp the tax issues)
