There are two types of marker. One is electronic, the other is mechanical. The electronic marker is of course more expensive. A new cheapest electronic marker will cost you over RM1000 and good ones can go up to a few thousands.

Mechanical markers will cost a few hundred ringgits. Again, depending on brand and quality.

Yes, by Malaysian law, you need to have a license to own a marker. They are categorised as weapons. To do it lawfully, you will have to get the permits and licence from Bukit Aman.
