QUOTE(yewkhuay @ Sep 20 2007, 10:15 AM) pallet come with several sizes (0.68 +-).. so some marker hv these wat they called as bore size of the barrel... so they will try to use a barrel that hv a bore size thats fits well with the pallet so that they can get more accuracy thru the shot...but some ppl, they just use a big bore size to fit all type of pallet available.. no need to hustle about the bore size QUOTE(chanti-sama @ Sep 20 2007, 12:50 PM) dun think paintball hv rocket launcher.. but paintball do hv mini gun and grenade launcher |

QUOTE(yewkhuay @ Sep 20 2007, 10:15 AM) basically all marker breech can fit all pellet sizes , it's just that the Barrel's bore that might not be able to fit all the sizes. Pellet comes in few sizes, 0.688 , 0.689, 0.692 , so does the barrel bore. hence if you're using a barrel with 0.692 bore size, you practically can shoot every type of pellets. However, when the ball-to-bore size doesn't match, pellets tend not to travel in the straight line when it leaves the barrel due to the uneven movement while travelling in the bore. using a barrel with 0.688 means you can only use pellets that fits it. if not, ball break will occur in the barrel and you'll have great time cleaning the barrel during the game. usually in a barrel, pellets gain speed in the first 8inch of the barrel. the remaining few inches are there to guide the pellets to the direction that it's suppose to go ( pellets tend to float in the barrel after the first 8 inch. ) hope this answered your question. |

the closer the bore to the pellet, the less chance the pellet will swerve away in other words it adds to the accuracy. very critical especially for markers that uses compress gas instead of the usual CO2.

QUOTE(exkay @ Sep 21 2007, 12:45 PM) pardon me, but is there any difference when using CO2 or Compress Air (CA) ? i mean, why ball to bore is so critical for CA users and not Co2 users? hmm... this issues has been discussed in most major paintball forums.here is some source http://www.bestpaintballsites.com/paintball/hpa-vs-co2.htm http://www.forceofnature.com/invision/inde...?showtopic=4526 my point of argument is that for a player that's using a custom marker and especially those wanting more accuracy in shots. matching bore with pellet and using HPA tanks for ur markers are factors to better accuracy and hitting the target. yes i agree that a player using CO2 tank and matches his bore to the pellet also can achieve the same result. but also u have to consider this 1. Majority of customs markers own by players in M'sia paintball scene uses HPA tanks. 2. even with matching bore.. the fact of CO2 nature still veers the pellet. u should know this after playing so much rental markers 3. Using CO2 for ur custom marker introduces alot of other parts to support CO2 and in the long run it's not worth it... (the amount of money spent on buying o-rings will not make u broke, but annoys u) |

QUOTE(chanti-sama @ Sep 21 2007, 01:43 PM) hmm... this issues has been discussed in most major paintball forums. well, i wasn't trying to argue about using HPA or Co2 lar..here is some source http://www.bestpaintballsites.com/paintball/hpa-vs-co2.htm http://www.forceofnature.com/invision/inde...?showtopic=4526 my point of argument is that for a player that's using a custom marker and especially those wanting more accuracy in shots. matching bore with pellet and using HPA tanks for ur markers are factors to better accuracy and hitting the target. yes i agree that a player using CO2 tank and matches his bore to the pellet also can achieve the same result. but also u have to consider this 1. (the amount of money spent on buying o-rings will not make u broke, but annoys u) i was just curious that why do u say this sentence QUOTE very critical especially for markers that uses compress gas instead of the usual CO2. cause to me, it's important or critical for both HPA or Co2 users when it comes to ball to bore factor, and not only limited or more critical to HPA tank users lar. which team are u playing with ? exkay from x-xtioneers here, currently on loan to Ak-47.
