Wan to buy a smartphone for my dad as birthday gift.

He already said, he wan to go to d Samsung store to choose his own phone. As I know him pretty well, he will likely pick a phone wit just 64GB storage in order to save my money.

Is 64GB sufficient for old folk like my dad? Does install extra storage Sim card help?

*his current phone also 64GB.
* he join a few of whatsapp & wechat group.
*almost No gaming

Good enough. Teach him to enable photo/video saving for certain pax/group only. Else this will double the usage, overall enough. No need to become like other people keeping 10 years worth of useless chit chat and terabytes of them. Be practical.

old people (like my dad) like to take and receive photos and videos. 64gb might be enough, but ur phone does take up abit of the 64gb for software and all those unnecessary apps, doesnt it?

64GB is not enough, especially for elderly that do not bother to clean their whatsapp junk photos and videos.

my mom using 64gb... enough. but need to take note of those whatsapp photo/video. because that is the one that take a lot of space. need to clean it occasionally. (64gb or 128gb, eventually it will be filled if these are not deleted)
