nowadays ads also cannot rely too much. even if you have 1M subs, with only few clicks on ads + some browsers have adblock, your not earning much. also you need to be good with the algorithm, else you wont be recommended. the golden days have past. which is why you always see youtuber got sponsored or they use patreon.
