I think this price doesn't include the heatsink. There is a specific model which includes the heatsink for a little bit more. Together with the heatsink, price should reach rm1.9k too though the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus has the highest write speed now. But buying from overseas means warranty will be an issue. One of my considerations too.

Agreed. Anyway its all about housekeeping. Just delete off unwanted games and data. Not that you are going to play it later anyway. Its just to make our Games Library look nice. So have you installed yours? Your SSD came with the heatsink?

SSD still not shipped but yes, it comes with heatsink. You already installed the Beta firmware? I'm still waiting for the invite

Yes. It is a requirement by Sony that the SSD be installed together with a heatsink. Saw the installation video, the SSD is hidden inside a small compartment with an aluminum cover over it. Its definitely going to toast without a proper heatsink. The cheapest one of course. I dont think the minor read/write speed will make a lot of difference

Already bought the Aorus 7000s from jitechnology - shopee mall vendor. still waiting for it to arrive since I bought on 8/8. Got RM50 coins cashback, RM5 voucher + used shopee coins for a net price of RM880 - I paid RM930 tho as the coins cashback is for any future purchase.
Still waiting for the beta key, or the public firmware to be available for the PS5 tho.
If you want to buy from Shopee, be careful of the vendor that you buy from. Preferred or Mall are selling confirmed original products. Not to say others are totally untrustworthy, but the risk is there. Also, the RM800 version might be a legitimate Aorus (R: 5,000MBps W: 4,400MBps), but it might not be the Aorus 7000s (R:7,000MBps W: 5,500MBps). Both will work with the PS5, but the normal Aorus will be slightly slower than the PS5 internal storage.
I have checked that seller too on 8/8 sale for the RM800 version you mentioned. After checking closely, apparently the seller didn't mention it is Aorus 7000S but only Aorus Gen 4. So be wary of the cheaper model.
I don't think there is very much effect on Sony when every stock is sold paid for before the stocks have a chance to reach their warehouse yet. Sony Playstation is the most profitable arm amongst their product lines.

Crazy. Just another move to collect cash by banking on the desperation of consumers. Many companies are cash strapped due to MCO and need your money to roll. Dont fall for it. Worst, when the time comes, they will give you bull shit excuses of further delaying the delivery of your set while opening pre-orders.

Have yours started shipping yet? Chatted with the CS and the model I’m getting is the CFI-1018A, the old version instead of new version CFI-1100 with smaller heatsink which may be detrimental on the peak performance in the long run.
Maybe u should offer your set here for sale then. I'm pretty sure many would be glad to take it off your hands.
