What they mean by that ? They will sent warranty on paper? Supposedly they registered it on sony website

You should register your set on Sony's Playstation site and get additional 3 months warranty on top of the standard 12 months warranty for free.

does senheng / senq ever restock ps5's?

Yes they do. Albeit quietly. You have to keep an eye on restocks by other resellers and check their websites.

Yeah full payment, they obviously just taking money to roll for a month plus.

for me, no diff. pay 3k to them and get my money worth.

or pay 3k to scalper and make them happy pulak. knn wtf ?
*
But hey at least you are getting Console + Controller + Black Ops + FF7 Intergrade at that price. Paying to scalpers means you get nothing else but the console + controller.

QUOTE(muttly @ May 31 2021, 01:12 PM)
Any recommendations on where to get a second controller from? There are some on shopee for under 309 - would they be original?
*
Yes they would be original but "oversea" sets. Meaning you wont be able to claim warranty for it here should something happens to it.

"A huge underground cryptocurrency mining operation has been busted by Ukraine police for allegedly stealing electricity from the grid.

Police said they'd seized 5,000 computers and 3,800 games consoles that were being used in the illegal mine, the largest discovered in the country.

The mine, in the city of Vinnytsia, near Kyiv, stole as much as $259,300 in electricity each month, the Security Service of Ukraine said. To conceal the theft, the operators of the mine used electricity meters that did not reflect their actual energy consumption, officials said.

"Such illegal activity could lead to power surges and left people without electricity," the security service said.

Police said that criminal proceedings had begun over the theft of water, electricity, and thermal energy. The mine was run by residents of Kyiv and Vinnytsia, a city about three hours outside the capital, police said.

Along with the computers and consoles, officials said they also seized more than 500 graphic cards, 50 processors, and documentation on the site's electricity consumption. They also took notebooks, phones, and flash drives, according to the press statement.
"

Even the PS4 can be used crypto mining, no surprise crypto miners are buying up PS5 stocks for the same intention. If so, PS5 stocks shortage is not going away soon. shakehead.gif

well, the front door is already wide open when you can install Linux easily on a PS4
all they need is just a customized drivers and software for mining
*
Looks like PS5 shortage is here to stay. Getting a PS4/ PS5 is actually cheaper than getting a GPU nowadays.

Ten million units sold yo rclxm9.gif ..... Have you got yours?

Sony today revealed that the company has sold more than 10 million units of PlayStation 5 so far. The company further claimed that the console which was originally launched in November last year is its fastest-selling PlayStation.

Despite that, Jim Ryan, the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment has acknowledged that the demand for PS5 is still much higher than what the company is able to supply. He has also noted to Reuters that the company is already producing more units at a much faster rate than before but chip shortage continues to be a challenge for Sony.

Well to any conglomerate, a sale is a sale. All they are looking at are the charts and the profits coming in.

Sony has rolled out a new beta firmware update for select users in the United States, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany, and France, but no word has been given on how long it's expected to remain in beta. Regardless, it's a big update for PS5 users and includes various enhancements and customizations to the interface and overall experience. Perhaps most notably, though, is the inclusion of M.2 SSD support, given that the PS5's internal SSD only has 825GB total.

Sony has revealed how beta users can install one, but it should be noted that those without access to the beta should not try installing a new SSD in their PS5 yet. Per Sony, installing a M.2 SSD in a console that does not have the beta firmware would require players to remove it before updating the software. There's also quite a few requirements, including an M.2 SSD that's PCIe Gen4, has read speeds of 5,500MB/s or faster, effective heat dissipation, and more.

Because this is a beta, requirements and recommendations are likely to change, but Sony notes that it cannot guarantee performance from playing games on expandable storage. This is even if it meets the current requirements and recommendations, as it differs from the PS5's internal drive greatly regardless. Whether or not Sony only means this for the beta or for the full launch of M.2 SSD support, but it stands to reason that it means the latter. Of course, something could change between beta and full launch.

PlayStation Direct PS5
Perhaps the next biggest change in the update helps clear up PS4-PS5 game confusion. On the home screen and in the game library, each game's title will now mention whether a game is PS4 or PS5, with each version appearing separately as well. Furthermore, this beta software includes 3D audio support for built-in TV speakers, which uses the PS5 DualSense controller to measure room acoustics. In turn, this is used and applied to a 3D audio setting.

Plenty of other details, customizations, and tweaks are among this PS5 update, with this including a Trophy Tracker that'll let players focus on 5 trophies per game via the Control Center, the ability to pick between 720p and 1080p for PlayStation Now games, a new automatic video clip for high scores, and a lot more like that.

PS5 users are also getting access to some new personalization and customization options, such as the ability to rearrange controls in the Control Center, the Friends tab in Game Base is getting better management options, and the ability to see how many friends are online. Players will also be able to view and write messages to friends and parties from the Game Base in the Control Center. Overall, these seem to be just the tip of the iceberg for everything in this beta PS5 firmware update.

Anyone here manage to mod theirs to include the M2 SSD here?

Actually, Sony sells the PS5 at a loss. They make their money on the games and Playstation Plus subs.

So it's really in their best interest to get the console into the hands of gamers and not gathering dust with scalpers.

That's why to me when it comes to the PS5, #SonyGagal
*
Yes. But still people are paying through their noses to get one through scalpers which baffles even Sony themselves. So in the end, its still a win for Sony.

Sorry man... but the only people who #Gagal are those who didn't manage to get one. tongue.gif
