Bro, i really recommend you just call in/walk in to authorized sellers around you to put your name. If you die die want to give money, give to harvey instead even though technically they are not allowed to do so like what @TOMEI-R said.

I really doubt Sony can allocate units to independent sellers or small enterprises with no track records. The only thing I can think of as to why heavyarm collected rm100 deposit and build a list might be to have a better bargaining power in terms of margin and units towards sony.

Other that than, any other non authorized independent sellers to me are nothing but scam. TBH. I might be totally wrong though.

i have been monitoring USA, UK and Japan drops almost everyday. I can see US stockX asking price for ps5 is slowly deteriorating. In fact some so desperate to let go ps5 at USD650-700. After paying transaction fees and taxes they actually earn nothing. That is partly also because SONY has been flooding US market for the last week for in-store pickups. Order and pick up ready in 2 hours.

Hope SONY promise holds true and flood SEA region next after Christmas.

Yeah, I ordered dual sense charger from amazon US on December 15. Gave me an expected arrival of March 9. Received notification just now it was shipped out from amazon. Will be receiving by 11 Jan in Malaysia. Damn ahead of schedule.

But I suggest you dont pay any sort of deposit for the seller unless you see the real thing.

Yes but most likely Japan first, then Indonesia launch 22nd Jan, then India launch Feb 2nd.

some Japan customers who placed orders online on november have yet to receive their units...lol and walk ins mostly on lottery basis.

Well there were 2 options for shipping. Amazon global expedited (5-10 business days) or Amazon global Priority (3-5 business days). Bear in mind that when you select the later option, amazon will normally use DHL, FEDEX or UPS. This will definitely increase the chances for taxing. When I checkout, if I select priority, it gives a commitment arrival date of "January 13 to January 21". Meaning amazon needs to commit to this date. I selected expedited with no dates and it says they will email me when shipping dates are available. I checked with amazon CS about my order and they say my order is confirmed and I will wait no longer than 1 month for arrival.

I selected the former for my PS5 and my charger, my charger they use some random logistic company FMX freight and i just check just now it will be delivering to me tomorrow onwards.

yeah the console itself after conversion only RM2011. Thats because I am exporting our of USA hence no Sales tax. That's one good thing about amazon, it traces your address and check for sales tax.

PS5 warranties are not international. No you cant do it here. If anything happens just return back to amazon. There is an "return or replace" button under each order. I presume the shipping label will be generated for you to use. Amazon has one of the best customer service. I actually managed to buy 1 digital edition on amazon UK on the 3rd december, i selected priority by DHL, item was shipped out from facility to London airport but couldnt dispatch any further. Reason being item/shipping label was smudged and undeliverable. I contacted amazon CS just by CHAT, they refunded me back on the spot and it showed up on my card the next 2 days. I was so impressed. Cause in Malaysia, when it comes to refund, you will definitely wait longer than that! LOL

I have USA PS2, USA PS3 bought when I was in the states, USA PS4 and USA xbox360. Non of the PS has any problems. Xbox 360 died. But obviously when I ordered a USA PS5, I already have certain kind of expectations.
