Hi. Need advice. Wanted to install grill to my pr1ma condo.

My front door grill follows all my apartment design guideline (right picture) except that do not accept my grill because I put plating at the bottom of the grill (to prevent shoes thief - left picture)

They asked me to do full horizontal like the picture on the right, so that it follows the guideline.

Contacted the contractor, he said need to redo (basically = new) the grill if I want to follow the guideline.

1. The contractor feels that this is minor and nonsense to ditch all the grill just because of plating.
2. I feel it is nonsense too. Besides, it is guideline, not law / rule. The purpose of guideline is to guide.

But I wonder, if I continue to install the grill, what the worse thing that could happen to me? Will they bring me to court/fine me? Is there such law?

Thanks in advance.

My condo is need to put rm3000 deposit, then only can start do reno, if no follow guide line then they will not refund the deposit. so i just change the grill to my liking and forfeit the deposit.

They mentioned :
- color : white
- 25mm x 25mm hollow section
- 6mm flat bar

and they gave this diagram (funny thing is the diagram is wavy, not horizontal)

Should make the plating removable but lockable with padlocks on the inside facing section so you can pass "JPJ inspection" then after you get back deposit d just reinstall "illegal modification". If the plating is installed on the inside portion they do not have a say as the outlook is the same right..Its like saying that you cannot have curtains colour flexibility inside your unit

Every owner will have a reason to have a slight different design ... if they allow one, they have to allow the rest.

Sorry to hear your case. Didnt know the management so strict.
Seem like you might need to change your grill. :-(

No such rule i heard of at my place though.
