At least i was told demo unit comes middle of the month.

Time is running out, as we get closer to Christmas the delivery timeline also gets narrower. They won’t make it for Christmas delivery window. There goes.

Maybe next week since many Authorized Reseller announced coming soon.

Their ‘Coming Soon’ is 2-3 weeks ago or even since global launch. They’re holding back many fans with such dishonest message. It didn’t come soon enough.

Can use MacBook air for working?

depends what software you use for your work.

if this is your bread and butter, and if the software are not optimized for Apple Silicon -- you'd sit this one out for the time being until they get optimized.

Just use for normal working.

in that case the base model MBA should be good for you.

8GB unified memory is very similar to 16GB RAM in other laptops. so that means you don't have to spend extra for 16GB unified memory
only consider 16GB unified memory if doing heavy lifting tasks like 3D animation render

Is there anyway to get crack Ms office or just always original on mac

just subscribe office 365, on top of that you will get 1tb onedrive storage, buy legit license from shopee.
last time i bought from tesco online around RM140 per year compared to RM269 if subscribed directly from microsoft website.
if you have friends or family members to share then subscribe family license, more value for money.

hi guys wanna ask, since M1 is available to buy, before I dive in

1. MS office works with M1

2. can run (bootcamp) Windows

MS Office works via Rosetta translation for now until Microsoft optimizes it with M1
bootcamp not supported for Apple Silicon for now

i should also inform that eGPU is not supported as well

you can still use MS office, just that it will run under rosetta for now until ARM native version released by microsoft
based on review apps running under rosetta still run on par or faster than on intel machine

Photoshop under Rosetta is quite laggy.

Is there a minimum wattage for the MacBook Air to charge? Will it charge if I use iPad charger or phone charger to charge it using usb A to usb c wire?

30W is required.
