With jap cars being so reasonably priced and at least 5 years ahead of the koreans in terms of engine tech, there is 100% no reason to buy a korean car.

Quality is ok. There is no point buying a high quality car but drives like crap.

The problem with Korean cars is that

1. They dont drive well. A simple 20 mins test drive and u will know. If u cant detect it, means u have not driven a better car before. This is the number 1 reason why malaysians dont buy korean cars. They drive horribly. Go on the highway and do 160kmh and the whole car feels like its not built to do 160kmh. Take a corner at 110kmh and the steering does not give u that solid feel.

2. Everything in the cabin feels tacky and will age badly. Always have weird cheapo looking design. Just look at the new sonata steering wheel design.

3. Korean cars have designs that age so badly. Even after 1 year, it wil look like its 5 years old.

4. Same or more expensive price than Jap cars. Come on , if ur cars are lousier than the Japs, price them 40-50% cheaper than the japs. At the same price, nobody is gonna buy Korean cars. If u cannot price them 40% cheaper than the Japs, then dont waste ur time selling them here.

I just dont want ppl to be cheated into buying Korean cars. So just share my experience. Thanks

Well, jap cars deserve their recognition for many reasons.
