Just now I received a call from a number 013-4992527 claiming from LHDN.
The recorded operator told me I have arrears that I need to pay and ask me to press 9.
When I pressed 9, a human operator greeted me, asking why I call and I said "I received a call that says I have arrear".
Then she asked if I have any ticket number, and I replied "No". She proceeds by asking for my IC number. When she asked that, I said nevermind, I'll call later.

Is this a scam or is it a valid LHDN number.

My sister received the call from lhdn using mobile number. Asking name and email .the number mention the ic and email adress .She scared it scammer. Later she call back lhdn office number and comfirm it was correct even that mobile number is from pengarah room

I always received calls claiming from POS n Telekom, blah blah blah n asked me to "tekan 9", I just put down the phone.

I received same call also but from different no. My Truecaller did not detect it as scam since it's probably new number used for scam. I straight away drop the call. I did received a lots of this kind of calls esp after covid requirement to jot down ur name n contact no.

Due process of the law:

1) You must be a suspect in a crime and arrested,
2) You must be brought before a Court and charged asap, preferably in the next working day,
3) If it is a bailable offence you'll be out on bail,
4) You await your day in Court to be tried.

Remember this and you won't be scammed.

normally, old ladies are their victims, easily cheated.

When you're asked to press 9, you'll realise that the scam call will get through even if you press other number.

Edit: when you are connected, you tell them somebody called you from Poslaju (yeah, tell them different thing). They will go along.

LHDN or any gov entities will never call you with a hp number. Gov calling in 013 number? Lol, this is the biggest giveaway. 100% scam call.

If gov want to contact you will send letter to your house. Or at most call using their office number which you can check online if real or not

Last time my reletive kena, they straight shows up in their shop.
No calls, few lhdn shows up in their shop ask for alot o documents.

My parent got asked go lhdn to verify their account via letter. Just bring everything you had let them check then everything is fine if you didnt curi curi this that.

100% Scammer. LHDN will never call anyone from a mobile phone. Block the number for safety
