Probably they are connection/internal staffs to the event companies who handle the contests. These corporations normally hire external ppl to run their event/contests and the system is rigged to their own benefits.

For the corporations it doesn’t matter who wins, as long there’s publicity. That’s why no one will trust these contests in Malaysia.
