I was just wondering how much money on average a month have you guys spent on online games. Games which are downloaded on Google Play store.

Free games are great but just lately, about 3 months ago I have started getting addicted to one particular game whereby you need to spend money to purchase gems to gain power to progress through the ranks and stages. In other words, spending money to buy power to become more powerful by defeating enemies. It is not exactly a fancy game though. It's a fighter plane game where you shoot down your enemy planes. It's called Falcon Squad. I tried few similar games but still liked this one the best.

I spend about RM50 a month on average and so far I think I've spent close to RM200 on this game. I was just wondering, for people who spend money on games, how much do you spend per month on average.

Last one was almost RM400-600 on one game onli (total, not monthly). Mostly spent on cosmetic and hnngh costumes.
Nowadays i dont spend anymore on games.
Maplestory.. There was a time i think of spending RM100, but then Asiasoft continued to ruin the game (needlessly more expensive/less rewards compared to other rehions) and I'm just noped. Pity, it was my teen with fond memories playing with families and friends, exploring the in-game places while getting obsessed with the best build class dry.gif
Now i nust get bored at most games after a few hours of playing lol.

I been spending money on gaming for close to 10 years.Tbh,I work a lot and I was single,so my hobby at that time was gaming and I spent on food and gaming.2018 I played PES mobile, and I think I got trapped into their gambling system and spent over 2k ringgit within six month for that game. Then last year,2019,I spent like close to 1000myr on asphalt 9 legend in 6 month, mobile gaming makes spending money easier then pc/console I think...

Thanks for responses. Just spent another RM40 today on the game.

Right. I'll try not to spend anymore money on games after this. Hopefully.

Dont worry la bro.. Ur Rm50 a month is beginner/entry level only in the world of mobile/online games spending n purchases. Me without fail every month spend easily Rm350 to Rm900 on in app purchases for the games i play.. Sometimes at the end of the month i look back on my bill n shake my head.. Then curse myself for being so stupid and having so little self control then sigh and repeat steps again. 🤣. And recently just lost my job due to covid.. So.. See how la.. See can reduce or not

Bro, sorry to hear about the lost job. Depending on the profession or nature of job, most people will have the risk of getting retrenched due to reduced work, customers, clients or projects depending on the nature of job. My company has laid off few people earlier last year, and a work associate from another company who I have been liaising with also got retrenched as the company is looking to cut overhead costs. He has been jobless for more than 1 month now and is still looking for a job. Stay brave bro, everyone needs to go through this shitstorm as we just keep staying alive

Back to this spending money on games, I usually use my unused credit of my Hotlink account to purchase the gems on a particular game on Google Play. Since I have my company phone, I don't need to purchase Internet data on the phone so the monthly top-up keeps accumulating and since I don't have any place to use the credit on my phone, I thought of spending it on games. At one point, my personal phone has more than RM300 credit and it keeps accumulating so I thought of unloading some credit/money to games since I don't need to spend on internet.

Too bad the Hotlink data does not have any Long Life plan on cashback where I can then transfer some on the unused credit or money on my phone to say ShopeePay account or to pay for my petrol in pump stations, for example, so that I can use the money to buy things on Shopee or pump petrol at petrol stations. So right now the only way to use the money is to spend it on games. Talking about it, I actually was hesitating for the past few days whether to spend RM100 on buying gems on the game which I was playing as I am running low on gems. Will see how it goes.

Will probably open another thread on the Telco section to see if there are other ways to spend unused credit/money on Hotlink other than to spend it on games.

Rm20 a month the most for a game. Used to spent way more RM50 upwards a month sometimes.

There was once I was crazy with some game (not just one) and spent few thousands in total. When I realised it was too late after I calculated all the total bills via google/Apple store history.

Don’t do it guys. If really want to game get a good desktop pc and some good games via steam or epic store and play all your heart out. Way more worth it.

I have kids now and looking back I could have saved those much needed money if I didn’t spend on online games that crazily.

are you playing Rise of Kingdom? hahaha

Im playing Rise of Kingdom and spend around RM200-300[?] after playing for a year because i enjoy it and foresee i can play for quite long, so i think it is okay to invest some money

in fact, this is the longest mobile game i play hahaha

but sometimes i feel like i want to spend more in this game though im controlling myself

previously i had spent less than RM50 on Mobile Legend (desktop version)

wow some of you guys really spend a lot on the games.

i was spending the hotlink credit which i top up rm30 every month just to keep the spare line alive. which means max its rm30 per month i would spend on games.

it was the hhgggnnnn costumes in hi3 which made me start spending, so far spent rm300 plus total. otherwise i would have remained on ftp.
