Does the air cond piping leaking in the wall covered by developer within warranty period?

I talked to the main-con and he said the warranty void because I replaced the air-cond (developer provided a default air cond which was replaced without use).
His logic, I replaced the default air cond and hence internal piping leaking no longer covered.
Apparentlly replacing air cond means you shaking shaking the air cond and hence piping leaking is your own fault.

Is there any truth in his remark?

but air cond pump will result in a surface piping right flying across the room to the outside.
developer got a smart ass design the air cond location at middle of the room and living room, which is far away from the compressor.
