If you are happy with the 7 plus features, then just change the battery.

The thing is i am not sure what the root cause of 7 plus draining fast, is it because there is "tweak" in new IOS? or the battery capacity shrink

If the phone is still in good shape and works great based on your usage, then yes, just go ahead and change the battery. The phone will still have another year of major OS update, after that you can decide if you want an upgrade.

If battery is your major concern, get 11 pro max. You can use it for a few good years and then only think of 5G. Malaysia 5G not starting anytime soon, and coverage needs time to expand.

Apparently change battery doesn’t work. I tot it worked so i spent 199 to change it.
Still very poor. Plus, mine is very lag and i always kena stuck outside of the shop and last to enter because MySejahtera app wont launch quickly smile.gif

Not sure how yours work but I can say I am happy for the upgrade.
No more lag temporarily plus theiP12 Pro max battery could lasts 1.3 days smile.gif

Mine no laggy issue, i am curious to know how fast is the fast charging, i notice apple's fast charging is not competent comparing to other brand like huawei etc

I used to be really obsessive about the charging speed so i was pretty skeptical about using ip11 at first (Been using Note8).

It got a godawful charging speed with the supplied power brick.

But then again fully charged ip11 would last me a full day compared to the old Note8 as long as I'm not too crazy about the brightness setting.

If I really need a slightly faster charging i just use my Xiaomi powerbank.

The thing is that fast charging is kind of a double edged sword.

You'll get your phone charged faster, but the takeaway is that the battery would degrade faster. You gain some, you lose some.

It really depends on what you need.

As long as you are happy with your purchase why not? biggrin.gif

I've been eyeing that LiDAR scanner on the phone. Seems like a really cool feature.

I'll hold on for ip14 in the future. Don't know what else they can offer by then.

IMO they can do better with LiDAR, but no.
I am bit disappointed. The portrait mode should be a lot better but I just see minor improvement.

Anyway, for battery.
I attached screenshot here.

has TS decided yet?

i'm also having the same problem with my iphone 7. Batt is draining faster than usual and I checked the batt health and it's at 70%. Then sometimes while using the phone, then it starts to get really hot.
Also, the physical Home button already went kaput when I dropped it a few months back. Then there's the storage space...getting tired and fed up of house keeping my phone every few days..

I'm still debating with myself whether to get the new iphone 12 or just change the iphone 7's batt. rclxub.gif

Decided to continue using it, as change to a new phone after 3 years is kind of waste of money to me, battery draining fast is the only issue i have so far. Which model will u choose if u were to get a new one

well u can just change the iphone 7 batt since it's only RM188 from IT World plus can get back the phone on the same day... even if you don't feel like using the phone anymore, you can consider passing the phone to other family members since it will continue to receive the support till IOS 15 (confirm)/16(not sure)

I was sent my 7plus to Switch service center for battery replacement after I bought my 12promax. It tooks 2 working days of waiting due to out of stock.

After I get my 7plus new battery replaced, the phone doesn't seems improvement on its battery life. I was thought that it was caused by the iOS 14.2. I reformat the phone then flash a fully clean iOS 14.2 again into my 7plus but the battery still drain out fast. I was thought that this issue may solve by upgrading to iOS 14.3. After I upgrade to iOS 14.3 at few days ago, the phone still doesn't seems have any improvement. After I upgrade to iOS 14.3, the battery level already dropped to 70%+, then I leave it for idling for 4 hours. After 4 hours, it was dropped to 40%+ left. So I recharge to phone back to 100%.

I was tried to reboot the phone and hope battery problem may fix. The battery drain quite fast and does not help much after replaced to new battery. This issue is mainly caused by iOS 14 but not the battery itself. My 7plus now is using a new battery with 100% battery health, the battery is still new since I was just newly replaced it at last week only.

When I watch Youtube video with the 7plus. Half hour will consume about 7~8%. If I leave it idle for 4 hours, the battery level will drop by 4~5%.

That is surprisingly bad. Have you tried to contact Switch to have them evaluate the battery to see if they gave you a faulty one by any chance?

sorry didn't see the tagged over here...

yeah my sis who took over the 7+ said the phone can last a day compared to the previous one which didn't last for a day (forgot what was the battery % before replacement)

but yeah i did mine at IT World... quite professional and strigent as attw can attest brows.gif

surprise Switch can take so long (2 weeks) when IT World was same day replacement (it took them only like 4 hours) which afterwards a few days later apple send me an survey email on the service feedback as well

Even if there is 5G service available you won’t be using it.. that’s because of their smaller battery variant

Not a good choice to purchase something expensive when you can get other brands with least expensive that gives you the same usages
