Hi, my SPA lawyer has dragged my new house for almost 2 years. Every time when I asked my lawyer, she will ask me to wait. Previously she did suggest me to give up on this house. Can I report this lawyer to bar council (Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board) or Tribunal Court for compensation?
Previously I tried to call the bar council, the staff wasn't helpful at all. My lawyer also seems like no scare of bar council. Is there any success open case on this? I searched previous thread but no one answered on the success case.
Btw, is there any right to request the owner to release the key? My loan bank has released the first payment to the owner's bank and my lawyer wait again until year end to get my house key.

QUOTE(hightechgadgets8 @ Nov 28 2020, 12:09 PM) the house still belongs to the owner even though your bank has settled his bank. u can arrange to rent from the owner if you are in a rush to move in I believe if I rent the owner house, it will give more time for vendor lawyer and bank side to drag the time

QUOTE(mini orchard @ Nov 28 2020, 12:17 PM) Your post is vague to give you some answers. Start from the initial buying stage till now ...what happened ? If you want to lodge a complaint with the bar, do it in writing for record and official purpose. The bar will reply to your letter whether there is a basis to initiate an investigation or need further info. I doubt any professional body would just accept a phone call ... it could be a prank. Currently is waiting the loan bank to finalize before passing the key. Previously was stuck at the perfection lawyer and strata tittle. Luckily I was managed to lodge complain to bank negara to speed up the process at vendor lawyer. Thanks for advice. I will definitely send in email as for the record purpose. It is really sad that I have to find solution and my lawyer took my money and shake leg.

QUOTE(mini orchard @ Nov 28 2020, 12:39 PM) 2 years is way beyond the normal SnP terms and also for leasehold consent. Something is not right ...I think is more to title status issue. Ya, you're halfway correct. It is a freehold but stuck at the tittle issue more than a year. The great thing is they put blame on mco for the delay of process.
