How much would you guys pay for an Iphone 12 Pro with a tiny edge crack on the front screen?

Hey guys while restoring a new iPhone from icloud, WiFi is required and we cant do it using mobile data. Once its at the home screen and restoring the apps, does it only restore using WiFi too or mobile data also can?

Also anyone experience touch sensitivity issues after applying tempered glass for the 12 Pro?

I got leftover XR tempered glass so applied it and the screen sensitivity goes all weird. Went to a shop to change another TG and its the same. No issues if TG is removed though. Weirddd

Checked with some phone resellers and it seems such issue does exist where a TG would make the touch unresponsive. Happening to my 12 Pro but I am testing whatever I can to understand this problem without success. Ordered thinner nano TG and those Matte flexible TG to see if it is also unresponsive.

With a TG on, the screen becomes hard to press or like not accepting some touches. Even weirder is that if the phone is placed on surface (table etc), the screen totally doesn’t accept any of my scrolls/touch. If i put my hand on the sides with another hand scrolling/touching then it becomes partial responsive. Took the TG off and phone totally no problem.

If anyone experienced such issue before do share your story. Wonder if it is warranty claimable. Have to use my phone without a TG now with extreme insecure feeling with the kids needing to watch Youtube for meals.

The one I used was those generic tempered glass in usual phone shops/ninjaz/shopee/lazada. It was for the iPhone XR though. That aside i just tried taking the TG and stick it all around the screen to test it’s responsiveness and the issue remains.

I stick a transparent film (the film u used to unwrap from a newly unboxed iphone last time) and its responsive. Maybe it has something to do with the TG’s thickness but it doesnt explain why putting the phone down makes it totally unresponsive with the TG on lol.

Just card games so not too touch intensive stuff. It does affect daily usage. I can’t even type without missing a letter and swipes dont register off and on. Its really mind boggling what is wrong because it works just fine without a TG.

Ordered a few variants but have not arrived. Would be interesting to see if the nano or thin matte would work. The screen has a tiny crack on the edge but that shouldnt be the cause of this problem as it is extremely tiny

Yup its the same issue as described. If i lay it down and just swipe it wont register. If i put my finger of my other hand on the side of the phone and uae another finger to swipe it slightly registers. This is seriously one weird ass issue.

Just tried those thin flexible nano protectors and the sensitivity is still impacted. Final choice would be hydrogel which I just ordered. Hopefully it works.

Quick question. Whats the advantage of a hydrogel screen protector? It’s so thin that it doesn’t seem to protect the screen from anything at all?

Any difference in battery life after updating to 14.6?

Anyone has experience with warranty claims? If my mute switch has issues but my phone screen has minor crack, will they force me to pay for screen repairs?

Cos it’s glass? Lol. My 12 Pro does this weird thing where it unmutes itself every morning. Not sure why even though the mute switch is on mute.

My XS heats up to the point of extreme throttling after the update. Happens randomly too.

Question. Anyone got their 12 series phone battery replaced before at the Apple Authorized Resellers? lol just checked Switch and Machines and there is no price listed for battery kit. Does this mean its not replacable?

Anyone claimed for dead pixel before? My 12 pro started having 1 visible dead pixel on the screen. Warranty ending soon too.

Any idea if theyd replace the screen or replace the entire device?

They replaced my screen in the end. But technician said they found a shard of glass in the screen. Weird.
