Anyone seen the leather case and wallet restock in machines? Want to utilize the points.

I went to Machine in The Gardens Mall yesterday and bought my leather case and see there are some stocks.

I’ve never been a fan of wireless charging even on all my previous Android phones so I’m probably not going to appreciate all the MagSafe accessories intended for that purpose as well. I think the two best usages of wireless charging is to a) leave it charging overnight while you sleep; and b) let it charge while you’re at your workstation in the office but I don’t do either of those laugh.gif
*
Me too. I prefer wire charging vs wireless charging. I’m using wireless charging for my AirPods Pro only.

For weekdays, 1 charge can last me 1 day usage for my IPhone 12P, hence I use old iPhone charger during sleep time and unplug it if I wake up in the middle of the night.

Only use quick charger if I’m in rush...

The 2 scenarios are the perfect scenarios for wireless charging.

As a single-charge daily person, I only charge it before I heard to bed, and remove it from the charger by 2.30am. Every time I do this, my phone is always 100% and ready for the next day. I don’t like charging my phone in between the day.

MagSafe’s pretty niffy so far, when you wake up in the middle of the night and remove it from the charger, way easier than trying to unplug the cable from the port.
Wire charging is such a table clutter, for me personally. Unfortunately the MagSafe charger is also another clutter, but it looks more presentable than a cable dangling on the table. I’m just OCD with messy tables.
*
I bought this to hide all the wires so not so messy. One thing I dun like about wireless charger is it tends to make my phone warmer while charging which I’m worry it will deteriorate my phone’s battery.

Wow that’s pretty cool, DIY?

Yes wireless charging does make your phone warmer, hence it is recommended to do so in an AC room. In terms of battery wise, I think it will be more or less the same, just make sure that it’s a MFI certified charger then you’re good to go.
It’s not a gimmick, it’s more or less addressing the issues with most Qi chargers, which is placement. Unless you have a charger with AIRA (Nomad Base Station Pro), you will often miss out on the ‘sweet’ charging spot when using conventional wireless chargers.

I wouldn’t say that Magsafe is the best wireless charger, it’s not even ‘wireless’ to begin with, but it’s one of the few 1st party Apple products available in the market. Technology is still new, perhaps later we will see OEMs start to develop Magsafe into their repertoire and we will be blessed with a plethora of Magsafe certified chargers, hopefully way better than Apple’s.

Looking forward to Nomad’s update, was so keen on getting the Base Station Pro, then Magsafe happened.  mega_shok.gif

Nope I bought it from Shopee. You may refer to the link below

I really love this. Bought a few of them and place them at different rooms

i just noticed this last night. does anyone realized that the volume rockers on the iPhone12 Pro is uneven o_O?
*
Really?it looks the same for me for both volume up and down. But the silence mode rocker is ‘higher’ than volume rockers..

yeah, the volume up is recessed slightly closer to the body compared to the volume down. you can feel it when you run your fingers through both buttons or you can place it against a white wall to notice the difference.

not sure if it's just my unit or not but a google search reveals that other country's iPhone 12 Pro also suffers from this "defect".

the silent mode button should by right sit at the same level as both the volume rocker buttons  rclxub.gif

I checked again and I don’t think my iPhone 12P has this issue

That's why my friend told me to grab it fast but RM180 is still steep for me since I can get Nomad for lower. For me protection is still number 1 priority than design because in the end, I don't want to fork out money for repairs.

Hoda, Flolab are good choices for SP.
*
I’m torn between nomad and Apple leather case too, after reading many positive reviews here.

In the end I go for Apple saddle brown leather case. I’m kind of people that will take care of my phone, so Apple leather case should be sufficient for normal protection and daily use.

In case I’m going for outing/sports or travelling etc, I have Mous Clarity for protection.

I’m using Apple leather case for 4th days so far so good =)

this is my first time engaging the service for Apple warranty and to be honest while I felt upset in the beginning but now i'm delighted because come to think of it, the entire process is pretty uneventful (which is good). quick as well, only took a day for Apple Malaysia to inspect, approve, claim and dispatch the new replacement set.

Plus u get a new iPhone. Haha

I’m using it for quick charge, but not frequent as i only charge my phone once before I go to bed using old adapter.

So far it’s working as what it suppose to...

Read from the Apple leather case patina thread in other forum. Some say that the material used in iPhone 12 leather case this year is somehow different from iPhone X/11 etc and doubt on whether the leather’s patina will happen. I guess we have to just wait and continue to use and observe it...

For the back tap, u have to tap it really close to the camera only it works. If it’s done at other part it seems doesn’t work.

The Apple logo is covered by my Apple leather case, so can’t locate it. Hahaha. I tried many times and the closer I’m tapping to the camera, the more ‘effective’ it’s.

Anyone here using spigen ultra hybrid? I’m looking at the blue one...should go well with the Pacific blue...biggrin.gif also a good alternative spare case before getting the ‘real’ thing..
*
I have one which is transparent. Personally dun like the grip as too bulky, I prefer mous clarity and Apple leather case over spigen ultra hydrid

Thanks for sharing. So the ultra hybrid is even more bulky than the apple leather case? hmmm
*
Yes definitely! Haha. I bought the spigen ultra hybrid and end up not using it anymore. Now I’m using the leather case on daily basis and Mous clarity when I go jogging or outing

Hihi, was planning to get the Iphone 12 Pro but there are news/youtuber/reviews that the battery does not last all day, only like 6 hours or so.
Don't want to be carrying a powerbank everywhere I go.

Is it the same for you guys?
*
I think it depends on how you use your phone. I start using it around 7-7.30am @100%, then web browsing, WhatsApp, fb, Insta, playing games in shopee, lazada etc especially in between meetings and lunch time, then now still have 55% at 7pm. After working hour will continue using it until 10pm plus then will left around 20% battery. So I will charge it while I go to bed

Well, coming from iphone 7, this is a very huge change for me.
And it makes me uncomfortable as I don’t need to plug in all the time. biggrin.gif
*
Me too, I upgraded from iPhone 7 to 12 Pro. I have to continuously charge my phone using laptop for iPhone 7. Now it can last me for 1 day use, except weekend which basically I’m using it all the time as I’m not working and not going anywhere😅

5G NR mmWave (Bands n260, n261) - is this a deal breaker for anyone because only phone sold in USA had this feature not anywhere else in the world.

not sure is 5G available at Malaysia or not, i going to test out 5G when i pick up my phone this weekend, too bad i don't have Ultra Wideband to test out from Verizon.
*
Bro, so far there is no 5G in Malaysia yet, not until 2022. I think some areas in KV do have it but it’s not open for public.

Just bought this MagSafe car phone holder. Magnet is very strong as the phone stays put even when going over speed bumps. Wireless charges the phone at 15watt. Very convenient as you don’t need to use 2 hands to attach or remove the phone. Just stick it on using the MagSafe function.

How much is this?

Cheapo version arrived this afternoon and I must say I’m impressed with the case. Very strong magnet, didn’t fall off no matter how hard I shook it. laugh.gif Can fit 3 cards but very tight, two will be just nice. Practical? If you just wanna go out for a quick drink, grocery shopping or petrol pumping; then it’s good. RM 38 for this? No complaint though. I’m looking forward to Moft version, will definitely grab one.
