Fatty Liver can be reversed through diet and exercise.

I have been diagnosed with fatty liver for the 3 years during my annual medical checkup.

I started a low carb diet (avoiding bread, sugar, noodles, rice, etc) and home workouts 2 to 3 times a week from last year dec.

This year's annual medical checkup says my fatty liver is no more flex.gif rclxm9.gif

Cholesterol and Triglycerides also improved a lot.

Bad news bro, oat is more than 50% carbs.
It is healthy carb but it is still carbo.

Don't think it can help you reduce cholesterol and fatty liver.
For breakfast eat hard boiled eggs, avocado, cheese. No bread.

Try changing your diet.
I don't want to take cholesterol medicine so I changed my diet.
Now I can confirm my diet works.
The doctor also say keep doing what I am doing.

I had fatty liver about 24 years ago. I am now nearly 59. I was drinking a glass or 2 of red wine every few days (in those days) and i wasn't aware that my fatty liver was caused by the alcohol. I stopped drinking alcohol completely about 15 years ago as it was causing me a lot of problems like back pain, getting severe iritis (inflammation of the iris) every few months. I have been diagnosed as alcohol intolerant so i have never had any alcohol ever since 15 years ago.

Hope this helps.

There is nothing wrong with Mukbang if you balance it out with excercise. If you eat once a day you are practically doing intermittent fasting.

Why not you exercise and workout everyday.

Perhaps you can have your normal meal again but moderately.

I also just started my regime to cut down and get back into shape.

Stats: Early 30's, 57kg, 172cm.

Issues:
1. Suspected NAFLD - Non alcohol fatty liver, blood test revealed that I have possible a little liver damage, self check sometimes at my knee area got yellow pigmentation (like Jaundice) so it scared the living day out of me.

2. Hereditary-pattern baldness - this currently trying Minoxidil, don't wanna go all out sacrifice libido / sex life for this. Maybe if all else fails, go for hair transplant if I really want hair.

Doing:

1. Halve sugar intake, previously almost every single meal got sugary drink (soft drink during teenager time). Now just cold drink.

2. Exercise a little, at least once or twice per week, cardio / muscle building depending on mood.

3. Cut down on Carbs (rice/bread/noodle), for this, I entirely skip bread, but slowly cut rice and noodle in portion. Rice and Noodle is my lifeline for my Asian self.

4. Start to take Liver Supplement (Essentiale Forte N)

Let's see where this takes me.

Boss, was your LDL of any concern to your doctor?

I've been on keto for almost 2 years and one meal a day for just over a year. Lost 85kg (160kg to 75kg). All on diet and just walking 3 times a week.

Just had my 1st bloodtest since my weight loss. Everything perfect, evrn improved my uric acid to normal level vs before my diet. Except ofcos the dreaded LDL. Lipid markers quite close to yours except my LDL is double 😶.

Total cholestrol 11.4
HDL 1.6
Triglycerides 0.7
LDL 9.4

My doctor say never seen anything like it and ask me better check my options like statins. Oh damn

I've been reading and researching enough to know that recent science says overall LDL is not a predictive factor of disease, more so on high triglycerides and low HDL, but still, my LDL is wayyy off the charts.

Carbs are given a bad rep.....

Low carbs or no carbs means out with refined carbs........So anything that is processed is out. i.e. noodles, polished rice and refined bread, buns, pizza crusts, pretty much everything from the bakery.....if you eat real bread - almost impossible to get in msia, it will not be a problem, one slide and you'll be full or 8 rice grains that that japanese and taiwanese eat, not a problem

There'a big difference between natural unrefined carbs and refined carbs, problem with our modern lifestyle is that we eat too much refined carbs.......refined carbs are essentially sugar, you eat, it burns immediately and the excess is stored as fat.

If one is not trying to lose weight/fat or prepping for a bodybuilding contest, carbs need to be eaten....again the good carbs i.e starchy natural carbs

Wow lost 85kgs !!!! shocking.gif
Fuuuuuuuhhhhhhh

Some cholesterol comes from the food you eat, and your liver makes more. It won’t dissolve in blood, so proteins carry it where it needs to go.
Most of the cholesterol in your body is LDL. The rest is high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or “good” cholesterol. HDL takes LDL to your liver, where it’s flushed out of your body. High HDL levels might protect against heart attacks and strokes.

What type of keto are you on?
Hopefully not the dirty keto type.

Maybe you need to up the level of intensity in your exercises.
When you exercise you need to get your heart rate pumping.

You can calculate your maximum heart rate by subtracting your age from 220. For example, if you're 45 years old, subtract 45 from 220 to get a maximum heart rate of 175. This is the average maximum number of times your heart should beat per minute during exercise.

I do the "healthy keto" type recommended by Dr Berg. ie eating animal meats like beef, chicken and lamb plus lots of green vege mostly bak choi, brocolli and cabbage.

So definitely eat high saturated fat, which based on the recent sciences is not a problem. But ya, getting that high LDL level is shocking me I wont lie. I also started reading on the cholestrol experiments by Dave Feldman, very interesting (been reading more cos of this super high cholestrol situation).

Agree, i should start doing more resistance training now, think this would be good all around for me. But funny enough, losing weight on keto and OMAD is the easy part, just dont eat and cos of no carb, I dont feel hungry. Now its the muscle building part that really takes effort 😅 Thanks.

Holy fkkk!
I would love to see ur before vs after photos man.
I don't think I'm capable of losing that much weight... that takes serious dedication.

Keto diet, 18/6 intermitent fasting & 4 times weekly 30 min HIIT training works. This is the default method of losing fat quickly. You will drop 10% or more of your weight within 2 months. 20% and more within 6 months.

And it is 100% safe, keeps you fit and healthy and most importantly, it works. Nuff said.

Good decision.

Statins are overrated and over-prescribe, and some even claim statins are completely counter to fixing what it claims to fix.

People have been misled to think cholesterol is bad for your health, but it's not. In fact, people have been completely misinformed about what cholesterol is. Also, newer studies are starting to show that high LDL is associated with longevity, rather than otherwise.

We've been eating saturated fat since the dawn of the species but heart diseases have been climbing up steadily since the 60's. Why? Hint... it's thanks to a guy named Ancel Keys.

What is the side effect of L-carnitine?
Are there health risks from too much carnitine? At doses of approximately 3 g/day, carnitine supplements can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and a "fishy" body odor [1,2]. Rarer side effects include muscle weakness in uremic patients and seizures in those with seizure disorders.
