Hi all sifu,

i wanted to update my laptop bios as i suspect this is the cause it can't detect my pcie ssd in the m.2 slot.
it seems like the BIOS update is important to do the right step else will brick the whole motherboard.

checking advise here, currently my BIOS is Quanta QQ111, 5/1/2016
is this the correct site to download some sort of new BIOS firmware?

https://www.qct.io/Download/index/Firmware-Update-Utility

thanks.

2016 no nvme yet.

So you need get m.2 sata, avoid nvme will do.

Some kind like this https://shopee.com.my/product/67664975/1933...45-1606653826.9

Still, to be sure, go to shop to test, or borrow from your friend to test to confirm.

Dude..... your laptop has no M.2 NVME slot. It only has M-SATA. From the video of the inner workings of the Z5.

Flashing BIOS will not turn your slot NVME capable.

thanks all for the advice, will proceed resolution as suggested, thanks.

Z5 is an old model. I don't believe updating BIOS would magically upgrade the hardware.

just a few suggestion read in reddit so i thought it needed some upgrade as such.

SSD is still something very alien for me in terms of terminologies rclxub.gif
