A 17-year-old American YouTube star has emerged relatively unscathed after crashing his father's one-of-a-kind, extremely expensive supercar.

Gage Gillean, who runs the YouTube account GG Exotics, was allegedly involved in a crash in Dallas, Texas, on November 17, leaving his father's Pagani Huayra Roadster in ruins.

Nicknamed 'The Joker', the purple Pagani Huayra Roadster is constructed almost entirely from carbon-fibre and is estimated to be worth a whopping US$3.4 million, or roughly AU$4.66 million.

Footage from the scene of the accident was posted to social media, revealing the multi-million-dollar supercar to be badly damaged, with the bonnet appearing to have absorbed the majority of the impact and the front airbags deploying to cushion the blow.

Italian manufacturer Pagan only ever produced 100 examples of the Huayra Roadster, but this particular car is the sole example to be produced in the purple carbon-fibre.

The car belongs to Gage's father Tim Gillean, a Texan entrepreneur who founded a private equity firm and owns a series of expensive supercars, including a Bugatti Chiron, Rolls-Royce Dawn and McLaren Senna.

According to his social media page, Tim only took delivery of the the unique Pagani Huayra Roadster in June this year.
