Hi there, now i m looking for the midi key controller which is basically only use for home-recording purpose. So actually i m deciding between M-audio Keystation49e and ESI Keycontrol49... both is actually at the same price range... so i want to hear about the feedback from any m-audio or ESI user about the product so that i can decide which 1 to get actually... Btw, any opinion or recommendation is welcome...

i use the 49e. It's good enough for me. I like the USB interface it's easier to use it for live applications with a laptop. Sure you are extremely limited in terms of controls like midi faders and knobs, but i'm no keyboardist so its fine for me.
It's not weighted and the touch sensitivity is not that good, so if you're looking for something more piano like, spend the extra cash. It's definitely more worth it.

i havent really tried the keystation 49e. however, it looks better built compared to ESI. ive tried the ESI and the buttons/knobs and keys just felt really bad.
