Hi, I am planning to build and/or search for parts for a budget PC.

1. STATE your budget - around 2k-3k, 3.5k at most
2. STATE the parts that you wish to re-use - Only the Monitor(ACER EK220QA / EK220Q 21.5") and other peripherals
3. STATE your purpose.- Primary - Programming: Visual Studio, Eclipse, Python, Web
Basic Graphic Design - Photoshop, Gimp
- Secondary - Gaming - LoL, Overwatch, Valorant, Warframe, Genshin Impact
File editing - Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc
4. STATE your intended purchase date - I am just planning so no specific date as of now.
5. STATE your preference - AMD or Intel is fine. I actually want to know which one would be optimal.

I would like get advice on which ones to choose. I am pretty new to the whole PC building thing, hopefully you guys can give me some tips. sweat.gif sweat.gif

One more thing. I know it is costly to build an optimal PC for Programming and/or Gaming, if it costs more than the budget I have mentioned is it possible to get some resources on why it is so? That would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Come back when you decide to buy. Price changes overtime. RM3.5k can fit Ryzen 5 5600X and GTX 1660 or Core i5-10400F and RTX 2060.

Below are the details pricing based on Viewnet:
(1) CPU - i5-10400F (RM649)
(2) MOBO - B460M GAMING HD (RM399)
(3) RAM - KINGSTON D4 KVR 2666 (RM139 x 2)
(4) GPU - GTX1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC (RM1259)
(5) PSU - Any 650W will do but minimum bronze (Assume RM250)
(6) Case - Any good airflow case will do (Assume RM200)
(6) Casing - get any mATX casing (Assume RM200)

All these and u are gucci to go. As for the GPU, I would highly recommend a second hand RTX2060super with warranty (Below 1.3k). The 1660s has only 6gb vram whereas the 2060s has 8gb vram. For casing, try Techware ForgeM (shopee price is less than RM200). High airflow case and it comes with 4 build in fans.

Kindly ignore the (6) Casing. Forgot to add on 1TB HDD and 500gb SSD (About RM400). If u are getting the CPU, MOBO, RAM, PSU, HDD and SSD from viewnet, ask them for the best price. Usually there is a reduction in about RM50-RM100
