I tried automating Facebook login with Selenium in Python a while back, mostly just for fun and to figure out how the element selection and automation works. The process is a bit tricky sometimes when Facebook updates their UI, so my old scripts broke a few times. Still, it's a good way to learn how web automation and scraping work in real life, especially on platforms with anti-bot measures.
For my work projects I needed to handle much bigger data extraction than what Selenium could manage, and that's where dedicated tools really helped. Found out about companies providing all-in-one APIs for crawling tough sites so you don’t have to keep updating your scripts constantly. One resource I tried is great for bigger projects if you're running into limits yourself, you can dive deeper at https://crawlbase.com/ for extra info and some handy crawling solutions.
