From factory is rough pine wood and good for rustic feel.

Sellers usually already planed the wood so its more uniform, best for furniture and so on.

Pine wood is considered soft wood ad thus good for not so serious furniture. If its for serious furniture then need proper bracing from other wood or metal.

Pine wood is nice for finishing as its fair wood. However, its not weather friendly. That you will need either multiple layers of paint or polyurethane.

Boleh tp jgn complainla nanti kalau dpt kayu buruk.  Kalau baca comment kat shoppee tu usually noob je, kalau ko pandai dpt kayu buruk kikis tampal with plaster and syelek la balik. No. Prob. Banyak comment dpt kayu buruk la hape la dha harga pun murah

For proper protection, you will need paint as in coloured paint. They offer the best protection for weather ( sun and water ). Polyurethane works the same but its a clear coat. This you will need to apply multiple layers which is kinda leceh.

Some old school people even use diesel to paint the soft wood for water resistance. Diesel will be absorbed into the wood and makes it waterproof. However this will stink for a while.

Plywood use paint if you can. If possible dont use plywood for toilet ( wet ) doors. After a while it will split. My plywood in the house after 1.5 years split also even though its dry and indoors.

For stools I like to use the pallet brace, which is thicker. If you notice a pallet has the top face ( which is lots of small wood ) and below it there is like a brace ( usually 3 pieces). I use the brace for stool legs as its thicker and can handle more weight.

Go around industrial area. Bring hammer. Ask the shop if you can have a few of the pallet. Use hammer to remove nails and you have pallet wood for free!!!
