QUOTE(mikiejones @ Nov 17 2020, 05:23 AM) I just read that amongst 30 million over smartphone users, there are only 500k iPhone users. Anybody can clarify or fact check this figure? It's basically a very big problem if you ask me. There is so much that Apple is that is not what people think. Someone needs to do something... In Malaysia we have around 5% iOS user base, hence that is why Apple hasn't really been aggressive here. This can be seen in the various companies I have worked yet when I see the mobile operating system in the analytics data.

QUOTE(mikiejones @ Nov 23 2020, 11:50 PM) Now, you can get an iPhone for a little more than RM1k for the older models. Not many people know about that. So... with that little bit of RM1k, you can expect to use the phone for around 4 years. That's a good bargain. Not many can even afford a RM1k phone. The phone price range that sells the highest volume here in Malaysia is between the RM300-RM400 range.

QUOTE(mikiejones @ Nov 25 2020, 08:37 AM) Then Vision 2030 will never happen. We will be looking at Vision 2130. Or Vision 3030 Sorry... Yup, until everyone does something for the nation (a completely different topic altogether) it will never happen. In the meantime back to the topic, whilst iPhones may get cheaper as well as 2nd hand and pre-loved units are available, most folks here in Malaysia are also used to the Android ecosystem so the pain of migrating across (especially for the non-techies) is real.
