beyer's are built like a tank so it probably won't give problems for a long time. Besides it's bought from jaben so getting warranty would be pretty easy.

Hehe I really love my Dt770 pro 250s. Sounds good on every song I tried so far, even low bitrate mp3s sounded good.

I currently using it on Fiio E7. I won't upgrade until I find the better amp have noticeable sound quality upgrades. Furthermore this headphone is still new (less than 20h playtime). I will only think about amp maybe after few months once the supposed "burn-in" settles. Right now it sounded so good even unamped hehe. It's something lower end headphone couldn't get even with mods and amps, this driver is simply better.

The only thing I don't like about this headphone is the coiled cable. Sometimes I really need the usual 3m cable length (such as sitting far away from the amp while watching tv or something at night). Though I like the short coiled cable when using on my laptop heh.

Also depending on the weight of the voice coil, the diaphragm's weight will be different too. Beyerdynamic said the 250ohm version is 20% the weight of other models.

Hair cream? Schwarzkopf Osis+ but those are fibre gum.

So the Pro pad won't get sticky after some time? Any Pro pad users wanna share their experience?

I'm one too, the pads didn't give me any problems. It's still the same like when I just bought it (less than a year).

Just let it run on normal songs should be no problem also, the point is to let the diaphragms run to let it move more freely. Some have big difference and some the difference is just minor, not sure about DT231 pro.

planar magnetic is simply gaay...best of both worlds..like a cross between Stax and T1. But it sure is hard to be driven..i doubt it's at its full potential with that setup

Maybe it's because of your preference.

I never tried HE-6, but only HE-5 and I instantly addicted to it's sound. It's one level above my DT770 Pro 250ohm. And yes I've tried DT880-250.
